2005 Mouton Cadet
This purple wine does give me unexpected nose. The body is medium to
full with strong nose of blackcurrant, cherry, and vanilla. With medium
tannin and acidity, it is really smooth on the palate without
out-balance. However, there is almost no finish but throughout the sip I
can feel the ripeness of the cabinet sauvignon. This wine is simple
and easy to drink. After half an hour it gives more smooth and round
feeling. Taking the price into account, this one is a good house wine
for usual drinking. It also proves that 2005 is a vintage that deserves
my expectation. (84) (Tasted on 4 September 2008, reposted)
