1996 Ch. Pichon Lalande

This wine has a deep purple colour with quite high intensity aromas of blackcurrant, smoke, blueberry, earth and touch of mint and herbaceous. It is dry with medium acidity. Medium alcohol and quite full bodied. Tannin is still quite high in level but soft and ripe. On palate, it gives barely over medium flavour intensity. Black plum, blueberry, licorice and earth with fairly long length and blueberry finish. (92)
