2002 Ch. Branaire Ducru

A deep purple wine with quite high intensity aromas of vegetal, bell pepper, plum, licorice, smoke, earth and cedar. Medium acidity and alcohol with fuller than medium bodied. Tannin is at medium level and soft and fine grained. Medium flavour intensity. Bell pepper, vegetal, earth, smoke, licorice with trace of black berry. Fairly long length with black cherry finish. (92) Drank this 3 times and this one outperformed the previous two. Good length with reasonable complexity but relatively weak in mid-palate.
