1996 Ch. Kirwan

A deep purple wines with some legs. On nose it has medium intensity of blackcurrant, plum, vanilla and smoke. Dry with medium acidity, alcohol, body and tannin. The tannin is soft and fine-grained. Medium intensity flavours of plum, bell pepper, and spice. Medium length with plummy finish. (88). What an easy wine with quite good nose and acceptable palate. Ripe fruit but simple palate.
