1989 Vega Sicilla Unico

A deep ruby coloured dry red wine with quite intense aromas of black plum, black cherry, raspberry, dried strawberry, prune, dates, sweet vanilla and licorice, quite jammy. Medium acidity and alcohol, full bodied with over medium tannin. The flavour intensity is quite high with flavours of black plum, strawberry jam, vanilla and warm earth. Long length with dried plum finish. (93) Too rich and full.

這些酒的口感真的很濃，強強的乾果口味，很重口。這表現了酒力的強勁 ，餘韻長長，力量型之選。有著這樣的醬果感，有點膩。已經三十多年仍有這表現，真的可以陳很夠，熟優熟劣真是見人見智了。好喝的，但不會令人不斷的斟來喝。

1976 Muga Rioja Gran Reserva

A medium ruby coloured dry red wine with medium intensity aromas of wild strawberry, mushroom, red berry, earth and touch of leather, graphite and hay. Barely medium acidity, medium alcohol and bodied with fine grained medium tannin. On palate it has over medium intensity flavours of red cherry, strawberry, tea and touch of caramel. Slightly longer than medium length with licorice and berry finish. (88) Very good condition, tho showing some tiredness.

四十多年酒有這表現，肯定是酒的儲存狀態一流。酒的發展已盡，甚至在口中感到一點點疲態。酒在口中表現平穩四正，各種味道融和一致，陳年感足，令人飲得輕鬆舒服。

1962 Marques de Riscal Rioja Reserva

This dry red wine still has barely medium intensity ruby colour, with quite intense noses of red cherry, earth, tea leaves, dates and touch of dried herbs. It also has barely medium acidity and alcohol. Bit lighter than medium bodied with fine grained tannin. On palate it has red cherry, tea and dried herbs flavours and medium length. (88) Surprisingly drinkable with fruit flavours, which shows its strength.

厲害。五十多年的酒，仍有一些果味。酒當然是向下行的了，但有這表現亦顯示出這酒年青時是多強勁。酒的口感圓潤柔滑的，但其他方面來說當然沒有什麼可以大加讚揚，但品飲這酒是在品嚐歷史。

2007 Vega Sicilla Unico

This dry red wine has deep purple colour and pronounced noses of blackberry jam, mint leaf, mulberry, licorice, black plum jam, damp wood and earth. It has medium acidity and alcohol. Full bodied and high level of ripe and fine grain tannin. On palate it gives quite high intensity flavours of black cherry, vegetal, licorice, earth and touch of mint. Close to long length with black cherry finish. (93) Way too young. Very concentrated.

濃濃厚厚的，酒力澎湃，複雜性高，只聞酒香已知酒質非凡。口感豐厚，餘韻亦長，好好飲。酒的發展仍須一段時間，現飲會令人知道這是好酒而更有期待。酒是早飲了，但已經表現好好，希望它成長後有機會再試。

1980 Muga Rioja Gran Reserva

This dry red wine is over 36 years but still possesses quite deep ruby colour. On nose it has quite high intensity aromas of strawberry, leather, red cherry, smoke, toast and touch of caramel. It has medium acidity, alcohol and bodied with medium fine grain tannin, a bit green though. The flavour intensity is at medium level with flavours of red cherry, leather, licorice and touch of earth. Slightly long than medium length with red cherry finish. (91)

老鬼西班牙酒有一定成熟的魅力，但很多時如果陳年太耐會失去其可口的味道。可是這36年的酒說明了老而彌堅是甚麼。酒香強而仍有一定果味，酒味在口跌了點強度，但成熟紅酒的複雜性展現無遺，餘韻亦合格有餘，不錯，幾好飲。

1998 La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva

Fairly deep ruby coloured with medium noses of red berry, vanilla, red plum, coconut, redcurrant and touch of spice, this dry red wine has medium acidity, alcohol and bodied. The tannin is a bit coarse but still fine-grained, quite high intensity too. On palate it has medium flavours of red cherry, vanilla, red plum and touch of fishy and sweet spice. Medium red cherry finish. (90)

酒的果味保持得很好，木桶味也很融和。酒香及酒味強度算不錯，餘韻亦算合格。酒的複雜性欠了點，但展示到一點點品種特性，很不錯的一款佐餐酒，剩飲的話也是很輕鬆隨意的。

2011 Alvear Pedro Ximeniz de auada

This wine has fairly high intensity amber colour. On nose it has quite high intensity aromas of honey, dried date, raisin, apricot, touch of tea, caramel and chamomile. It is sweet with medium acidity. Full bodied with higher than medium alcohol. On palate it has quite high flavours of dried date, honey, raisin, touch of mineral and caramel. Fairly long length with honey and date finish. (94)

一路飲一路產生疑問:這酒是100分?真的100分，看著酒標抓著頭。酒是很不錯，但不值100分。酒的甜酸平衡尚可，酒香強而複雜，酒味的複雜性下降了，餘韻也算長，但不至於有那麼高的評價。

Gonzalez Byass Solera 1847 Oloroso Dulce

This sweet fortified wine has deep brown colour with haziness. The aromas contain caramel, raisin, plum jam, apricot, honey and touch of orange and chalk, all at quite high intensity level. Lowly fortified and medium acidity, full bodied and viscous. On palate it has higher than medium flavours of caramel, apricot, raisin, and touch of orange, honey and coffee. Medium length with raisin syrup finish. (92) Lack of length.

感覺陳舊的一枝甜雪利酒。甜到有點點膩的感覺，酒香複雜但酒味的複雜性下降頗多。餘韻亦出奇地短。其間有酒友用來伴雲呢嗱雪糕吃，非常配合，不妨一試。

1994 Ribera del Duero, Pesquera, Crianza

Dry red wine with deep ruby colour and quite intense aromas of vanilla, red plum, chocolate, dried herbs with touch of coconut, blueberry and prune. It has medium acidity and slightly fuller than medium bodied. Medium alcohol with medium silky tannin. Medium flavour intensity with red cherry, dried herbs, vanilla and touch of vegetal notes. Fairly long length with vanilla and sweet spice finish. (92) Good and attractive nose but it does not carry on to the palate. Mature and enjoyable.

18年的酒非常順滑，果味開始有點退卻但仍有一定複雜性，餘韻不錯，酒香吸引但在口中未能保持住，仍是一個頗享受的酒品。

Vega Sicilia Unico Reserva Especial (Lot 2009)

A dry wine of deep ruby colour and heavy legs. Quite high aromas intensity on nose with strawberry, cherry, floral, coconut, sweet spice with trace of banana. On palate it has medium alcohol and acidity. Medium plus bodied and medium plus sweet and fine-grained tannin. Pronounced intensity flavours of vanilla, coconut, strawberry, red plum and cherry with trace of smoke. Long length with red fruit finish. (95) (Tasted on 19 Nov 2011)

2001 Rioja Reserva, Baron de Chirel

Attracted by this wine because I rarely taste a wine of 100% Tempranillo. The colour of this dry wine is deep brick. It gives red cherry and red plum on nose with a bit oaky, the reserva effect. Spicy flavour is found on palate in addition of the red fruit, another reserva effect? It also has medium acidity, body and tannin and the finish is weak. (85) (Tasted on 12 October 2008, reposted)

西班牙試酒會 - 2013.06.22

為慶祝香港茶網成立三週年而舉辦的試酒會於今年6 月29日舉行，今年的主題是西班牙。

今次的試酒會在選擇酒款方面較快及易。 西班牙酒有頗多具有特色的酒，例如 Cava 氣泡酒，雪利酒等。 這已佔了兩批酒了。白酒較多人留意而又有特色的不多， 所以試一批3支。紅酒方面，由於時間及酒款因素， 試酒會只可試15支左右， 那剩下6支紅酒只可以選擇有特定意義及一些國際上較出名的酒區了。

第一批3支好明顯係介紹 Cava，但齋講好悶， 所以加個遊戲比大家。因為 Cava 的做法同香檳一樣，只是材料及陳年要求不同， 所以在盲飲的情況下要參與者搵返邊支唔係 Cava。 Cava 係小數的法定產區多過一個的酒， 但主要生產於 Catalunya，即係近巴塞隆那附近。 現在已有各式各樣的Cava，包括用非西班牙本土的葡萄品種。Cava 價廉物美，是香檳的一種好好的代替品。

第二批試白酒，Rioja 白酒是西班牙小數用木桶製造的酒， 所以一定要試。另外一支是在西北方生產的Rias Baixas，用的是Albarino葡萄， 一種較輕身但帶桃子類 Stone Fruit 的白酒，配海鮮不錯。最後的是一支 Rueda， 花草味較多的一款白酒，也是較多人明白接受的， 因為其風格與 Sauvignon Blanc 相似。

接著的兩批 紅酒中，第一批我先讓參與者明白西班牙酒在陳年方面的一套法定要求，所以我選了 3 支同區（Rioja）同酒莊但唔同法定陳年的酒，用以解釋不同的陳年：紅酒來說 Crianza 最小兩年，其中最小半年在木桶；Reserva 最小三年，其中最小一年在木桶；Gran Reserva 最小五年，其中最小兩年在木桶。Rioja 的造酒方法深受法國波爾多影響，也用小木桶的，但品種當然不同。

 

第二批紅酒就試一些較出名或特別的產區。Ribera del Duero 是一個很有名氣的產區，可能是因為 Vega Sicilia 也是在這裡吧。 Priorat 是另一個在國際上得到頗高評價的酒，產量小， 礦物味重的 Garancha（即係 Grenache）。 最後一支是單寧很重的酒，產於 Jumilla 酒區，近華倫西亞， 葡萄品種是 Monastrell（即係Mourvèdre ），非常陽性剛強的酒。

最後一批當然要試西班牙特有的雪利酒， 陳年方式有 Biochemical (Fino) 及 Oxidative (Oloroso)  兩種，而陳年形式以 Solera 系統，以維持其酒質穩定。 由於傳統雪利酒較乾身，所以加試了一支非常商業化， 加了糖的雪利酒。
