2001 Rioja Reserva, Baron de Chirel

Attracted by this wine because I rarely taste a wine of 100% Tempranillo. The colour of this dry wine is deep brick. It gives red cherry and red plum on nose with a bit oaky, the reserva effect. Spicy flavour is found on palate in addition of the red fruit, another reserva effect? It also has medium acidity, body and tannin and the finish is weak. (85) (Tasted on 12 October 2008, reposted)
