2003 Cote Rotie La Turque, E. Guigal

A deep purple dry red wine with pronounced nose of black cherry jam, violet, black plum, white pepper, mint, smoke and toast. Medium acidity and alcohol with quite full bodied. Tannin is ripe and soft at medium level. On palate it gives fairly high intensity of black cherry, licorice, tea, floral, and espresso type bitter note. Long length with black cherry finish. (97) Good nose attack with pepper aromas. Nice complexity and intensity.
