1963 Graham Single Harvest Tawny Port (Bottled in 2018)

This port wine has quite deep copper colour. On nose it has pronounced level aromas of raisin, dried orange peel, ginger, apricot, dates, hazelnut, showing good aging character. The sweetness is off dry with medium acidity, fortified to high level of alcohol but medium bodied. On palate it gives pronounced level flavour of raisin, dates, apricot, hazelnut and touch of citrus peel. Fairly long length with nutty and honey finish. (93)

美麗的陳年感覺,複雜性發展得很好,口感微甜亦不膩,酒在口中的複雜性不減,酒力強、餘韻亦長,好飲。平衡感值得一讚。

1969 Taylor Single Harvest Port

This port wine has deep mahogany colour. On nose it has quite intense aromas of nutty, dates, prune, caramel, toffee and trace of raisin. Medium sweet and fortified to high level, full bodied with trace of wood tannin. On palate it gives quite intense flavours of nuttiness, prune, caramel, toffee, raisin. Fairly long length with honey and almond finish. (91) Consistent.

濃厚的砵酒。強烈的酒香,成熟的發展,這酒已經像一道甜品多於一款酒。由於酒味濃,也不太覺得酒精度較高。酒味跟酒香一致,吞嚥後酒味反而更清晰,餘韻亦長,很好味的。

2011 Alvear Pedro Ximeniz de auada

This wine has fairly high intensity amber colour. On nose it has quite high intensity aromas of honey, dried date, raisin, apricot, touch of tea, caramel and chamomile. It is sweet with medium acidity. Full bodied with higher than medium alcohol. On palate it has quite high flavours of dried date, honey, raisin, touch of mineral and caramel. Fairly long length with honey and date finish. (94)

一路飲一路產生疑問:這酒是100分?真的100分,看著酒標抓著頭。酒是很不錯,但不值100分。酒的甜酸平衡尚可,酒香強而複雜,酒味的複雜性下降了,餘韻也算長,但不至於有那麼高的評價。

Gonzalez Byass Solera 1847 Oloroso Dulce

This sweet fortified wine has deep brown colour with haziness. The aromas contain caramel, raisin, plum jam, apricot, honey and touch of orange and chalk, all at quite high intensity level. Lowly fortified and medium acidity, full bodied and viscous. On palate it has higher than medium flavours of caramel, apricot, raisin, and touch of orange, honey and coffee. Medium length with raisin syrup finish. (92) Lack of length.

感覺陳舊的一枝甜雪利酒。甜到有點點膩的感覺,酒香複雜但酒味的複雜性下降頗多。餘韻亦出奇地短。其間有酒友用來伴雲呢嗱雪糕吃,非常配合,不妨一試。

Niepoort White Port

Medium onion peel colour with medium aromas of heady, floral, grapey and touch of vanilla and caramel. It is medium sweet with alcohol fortified to high level. Fuller than medium bodied and medium acidity. On palate it gives medium intensity flavours of grape, caramel, citrus and trace of honey, dried fruit and nuts. Medium length with grapey finish. (88) Quite simple and show the characters of white port. Reasonable intensity and complexity but not sufficient to rate as a good one.

頗簡單的一枝白砵酒,葡萄的鮮味仍然保存得不錯,可是複雜性就略欠的了。
