2000 Chateauneuf de Pape Cuvee Da Capo, Domaine Pegau

This dry red wine has quite intense ruby colour. On nose it has intense aromas of red plum, dates, ripe strawberry, warm earth, chestnut, licorice, thyme, mixed herb, very spicy. Medium acidity, alcohol and full bodied. The tannin is ripe and fine grained at medium level. On palate it has intense flavours of red plum, dates, thyme, basil leaf and licorice. Close to long length with red plum finish. (97) Wow....

有點夢幻,這酒的香料味,可以用怪獸來形容,香料箱不足以形容香料的多樣性,這近乎是一個百子櫃的香料箱。強度、複雜性和餘韻皆是中上水平,酒體醇厚,喝後感覺滿滿的,很開心。是難得一件的佳釀,也是我喝過最好的教皇新堡

2005 Chateauneuf du Pape, Clos des Papes

This dry red wine has quite intense ruby colour. On nose it has medium intensity aromas of red cherry, red plum, dates, toasted, licorice and touch of blood and smoke. The acidity is barely at medium level, medium alcohol and bodied, with medium soft tannin. The flavours intensity is quite intense with flavours of red cherry, dried herbs, licorice, and dried plum, Fairly long length with cherry finish. (93) Good red fruit and soft mouthfeel. I can feel the heat but the acidity needs to be higher.

有標誌性的教皇新堡風格的酒,複雜性及酒力也很不錯,單寧亦很柔順。酒在口中那種乾果感覺很好,在喝的過程亦感覺到其產地那種熱力。有可能也是這熱力吧,現在喝感覺到酒的酸度開始有點下降,有貨的,應該快快喝掉。

A deep purple dry red wine with quite intense aromas of black plum, black cherry, mineral, earth, blackcurrant, trace of smoke and pepper. It has medium acidity and alcohol, ripe tannin as well. On palate it gives intense flavours of black plum, black cherry, earth , licorice and dried herbs. Long length with black plum finish. (94?) Still young?

保持著濃濃黑色果實味道而又夾雜著品種中那標誌性的胡椒味,酒在口中平衡之餘而又把各方面表現好好融合,再加上長長的餘韻,相信任何人都覺這是一枝好酒。酒味似乎還可以再發展一點,我不會說早飲,但現在喝已經很好,相信這酒再陳會更有味道,但未必可以拍得住它夢幻的1978年。

Medium dusty tannin and medium intensity flavours of blackcurrant, cherry, smoke, earth, licorice and damp wood. Fairly long length with black cherry finish. (91)

重重的黑果味配上淡淡的香料,這酒的舊年份仍有一定活力。酒香強而複雜,酒味在口中力度不及酒香,但仍有一定複雜性,餘韻算長,幾好飲。

2003 Cote Rotie La Mouline, E. Guigal

A deep ruby purple coloured dry red wine with quite pronounced level aromas of prune, black plum, dried black cherry, raisin, and trace of smoke and toast. Medium acidity, alcohol and full bodied with quite high soft and ripe tannin. The flavours intensity is quite high with flavours of black plum, prune, dried black cherry, raisin and touch of smoke and pepper. Fairly long length with black cherry finish.(93) Still young.

即使15年,仍然很後生,雖不至於殺嬰,但也是太早飲了。酒的強度不容致疑,酒香的複雜性像是剛剛展露,酒味強度亦高,只是複雜性仍須時發展,餘韻亦長,酒現時仍以乾果為主,假以時日會更好。

2008 Chateauneuf du Pape, Domaine du Pegau

Deep ruby colour with quite intense noses of red cherry, red plum, blood, mint and touch of dried herb, anise and rose. This dry red wine has medium acidity and alcohol, quite full bodied and medium soft tannin. The flavour intensity is at over medium level with flavours of red cherry, plum, earth, leather, smoke and rose tea. Longer than medium length with red berry finish. (91) Good palate.

酒的表現很不錯,是令人感覺到酒的出處,像教科書式的表現。酒香及酒味也強 ,單寧適中,感覺自然,好像沒有刻意作任何人為更改釀造似的。餘韻算長,可口,難得亦沒有太教皇新堡的一種重酒精感,好好的一款餐酒。

2007 Clos Saint-Jean Deus-Ex Machina Chateauneuf-du-Pape

This dry red wine has deep ruby colour. On nose it has pronounced level aromas of mint, licorice, dates, black plum, earth, black cherry and touch of prune. Medium acidity and full bodied. Quite high in tannin but ripe and fine. On palate it has quite high intensity flavours of black plum, black cherry, earth, meat and toasted licorice. Fairly long length with black plum finish. (95) Full and ripe, very spicy, good layer.

這酒的香料味十分足,甚至主導了這酒的味道,酒香強烈複雜有層次,是一種任何人一聞都會覺得是好酒的感覺。酒仍可發展,現在單寧仍是強了點,餘韻長而口感複雜,一枝好酒,可以慢慢品嚐的。

1999 Ermitage La Pavillon, Domaine M. Chapoutier

A deep ruby coloured dry red wine with quite intense aromas of red cherry, pepper spice, iron ore, touch of dried herbs and blood. Medium acidity and alcohol, quite full bodied with quite high tannin, a bit coarse though. On palate, it gives over medium intensity flavours of red cherry, dates, dried herbs, mineral, earth and steel. Longer than medium length with red berry finish. (92)

 隆河的酒香料味真的很出色。這酒的香料味很充足,酒力算強,亦有一定複雜情度,餘韻亦算長,是一枝整體都很不錯的酒.。酒的口感較重,加上重重的單寧,未必人人接受到。

Deep purple with pronounced noses of red plum blackberry mint licorice lavender smoke and earth, it is dry with medium acidity, medium alcohol and quite full bodied, touch of alcohol note. The tannin is quite high but ripe and fine grained. On palate it gives quite high intensity flavours of redberry, plum, mint and licorice. Close to long length with red plum finish. (94) I think this one has some condition problem.Wonderful nose still.

 可能是酒的狀態有點點問題,酒的香氣很好,令人感覺有一定深度。餘韻長亦表現其質素,酒精感稍稍重了點點。問題在於口中,複雜度及深度跌得很快,甚至有點散。但整體仍是好飲的。我保留對這酒的評價,直至下次試枝狀態好些的。

2009 Ch. Grillet

Medium lemon green coloured with medium noses of peach lemon candy, vanilla, stone, white flower and fresh apricot. It is dry with medium acidity and alcohol, quite full bodied with over medium intensity flavours of lemon, peach, honey, almond and mineral. Slightly longer than medium length with lemon curd finish. (92) Good palate.

這酒如果聞完之後因為酒香不強而放棄的話便是一個損失。酒香不強是事實,但複雜性很好。酒在口中味道平衡豐富,亦有一定鮮活性,礦物味亦足,餘韻算長,是一枝在口中表現比酒香還好的酒。讚。

1990 Hermitage la Chapelle, Domaine Paul Jaboulet Aine

A deep purple dry red wine with quite high intensity aromas of black plum, black cherry, black pepper, graphite and burnt earth. It has medium acidity and alcohol, full bodied and medium ripe and fine grained tannin. On palate it has higher than medium intensity flavours of black cherry, black plum, violet, damp earth and mulberry. Long length with black plum finish. (95)

 這酒仍年輕。酒香發展得不錯,亦夠強。酒味在口中強度也算強,但酒味仍是果味較突出,餘韻長,足證酒質不弱。很有期望的一枝酒,過多七年再試也不遲。

2004 Thierry Allemand Cornas Les Chaillots

This is a dry red wine with deep purple colour. On nose it gives medium intensity aromas of leather, earth, black cherry and licorice. Medium acidity, alcohol and fuller than medium bodied with quite high tannin, still fine grained but a touch of greenness is detected. Barely over medium intensity flavours of blackberry, plum, licorice and touch of leather. Longer than medium length with leathery finish. (91)

以這酒區來說是一枝不錯的酒。酒香比了不同層次的香氣,亦有一定強度。只是酒味在口中複雜性下降了些,單寧不鞋口但有一絲青澀,餘韻亦算長。幾好飲。

A deep purple coloured dry red wine with close to pronounced level intensity aromas of blackberry, black plum, violet, mineral, earth, sweet spice and menthol, complex and deep. It is dry with medium acidity, medium alcohol and quite full bodied. Fairly high soft and ripe tannin as well. On palate it has over medium intensity flavours of blueberry, black plum, mineral, earth and touch of spice box. Fairly long length with blackberry finish. (94)

此酒的酒香有一種扯你入深淵的感覺,複雜、強烈又集中。味重、單寧成熟、 配合複雜的酒味和足夠長的餘韻,即使盲飲也可確定這是一枝佳釀,只是酒仍須多一點時間發展,酒味如再強會是一枝令人回味的酒。有貨的不妨陳多幾年至飲。

Medium lemon colour with quite high intensity aromas of lemon, white flower, honey, peach and touch of stewed pear and mineral. It is dry with medium acidity, medium alcohol and quite full bodied. On palate it gives medium intensity lemon candy, peach, white flower and touch of honey almond. Longer than medium length with honey lemon finish. (92) Good complexity but a bit lack of acid.

隆河的白酒有像較醇厚的感覺,但同時又很易欠缺鮮活性,因為酒的酸度好易不足。這酒的酸度勉強可以,複雜性不錯,酒香的強度不俗,只是在口中不能維持,餘韻亦長,幾好飲。

2002 Ermitage De L'Oree, M. Chapoutier

Medium lemon in colour. On nose it gives barely over medium intensity aromas of lemon, peach, white flower, butter, and touch of tropical fruit, honey, coconut and mineral. Dry with barely medium acidity, medium alcohol and quite full bodied, a bit oily mouthfeel. The flavours contain lemon, vanilla, coconut, honey and oak. Longer than medium length with lemon vanilla finish. (89)

這酒區的酒常常缺乏酸度,但這酒算不錯了。酒香複雜性好,強度亦合格。酒體一貫的豐厚,油油的。酒味及餘韻也不錯,喜愛口感飽滿的人會喜歡此酒的。

Deep purple colour with pronounced intensity aromas of black cherry, black plum, vanilla, licorice, white pepper, smoke and touch of dried mint leaf and clove, pretty spicy. It is dry with medium acidity, alcohol and fuller than medium bodied. Medium tannin as well with a touch of stalky in nature. On palate, it has slightly over medium intensity flavours of black cherry, red plum, vanilla, licorice and dried herbs. Longer than medium length with blackberry finish. (93)

即使年份不太好,也可以做出好酒呢! 這酒的香氣香料味十足,強而複雜,聞著有點不想飲的感覺。酒味延續一致,只是強度與複雜性下降了點,餘韻也長。COTE ROTIE酒的餘韻常給我一種若即若離的感覺,令人想一飲再飲,好酒。

This dry old red wine still possesses fairly deep ruby colour. On nose it has close to pronounced level aromas of black plum, leather, mint leaf, black pepper, earth and roasted herb. Medium acidity and alcohol with medium ripe and fine grained tannin. Quite full bodied. On palate it gives higher than medium intensity flavours of black cherry, mint jam, licorice, roasted herb, black pepper and mineral. Fairly long length with mint leaf mixing black berry finish. 這應是我喝過最好的HERMITAGE。複雜而強烈的香氣,亦充滿著 品種特色。幾十年的酒在各方面也融合了。酒味亦保持其表現,酒味更有層次地展現,餘韻出色,回味亦充滿複雜性,令人再三回味,難忘的好酒。

2009 Condrieu La Doriane, E. Guigal

Medium lemon coloured with barely over medium noses of honey, lemon, peach and touch of mineral and musk. It is dry with barely medium acidity, medium alcohol and almost full bodied. Oily mouthfeel. The palates gives medium intensity flavours of peach, honey, lemon and touch of stone. Slightly over medium length with peachy finish. (89) Alcohol sticks out a bit.

貫徹了隆河的白酒 ,酒精感重了點,酸度低了點。取而代之的是濃厚的酒香和豐滿的口感,油油的。複雜性只是一般,餘韻也不錯,可以一喝。

Fuller than medium bodied with higher than medium fine grained tannin. Medium intensity flavours of black plum, cherry, spice, licorice and herb with fairly long length with black plum and spicy finish. (91)

在口中差了點,其他各方面都不錯。香氣、餘韻及複雜性都頗佳,其烤乾香草味突出,可能會把其果味及其他香氣蓋過。

A deep ruby wine with barely over medium noses of dried herb, hay, red berry, licorice and touch of oxidized notes. It is dry with medium acidity and alcohol. The tannins is at barely medium level but soft. Barely over medium flavours of red cherry, licorice, dried herb and touch of meaty. Fairly long length red berry and licorice finish. (90) Maybe due to its storage condition, a bit oxidation noted.

似乎有點開始氧化的感覺。酒的複雜性及酒力是好的,餘韻亦不錯,單寧柔順,如果不是有點氧化(但我相信這可能是個別的倉儲問題),我相信這酒是有不錯的質素。
