2000 Bruno Giacosa Barbaresco Asili Riserva

Deep ruby colour with intense aromas of rose jam, road tar, cherry, vanilla, mint, licorice and pine. This dry wine has medium acidity and alcohol, full bodied and high but fine grained tannin. The flavour intensity is quite intense as well, with flavours of rose, red cherry, plum, vanilla and sweet spice. Fairly long length with red cherry finish. (95)

這酒莊的濃厚感不用置疑,酒力強勁,桶香出色,酒味在口中複雜細緻,但酒香的複雜性比酒味更強,好酒一枝。以陳年能力計仍有大把貨在手,相信要多一些時間等待單寧溶化。

2002 Dom Perignon P2

Medium lemon green colour with quite intense noses of lemon bread, red apple, honey and touch of caramel, it is dry with medium and soft acidity, medium alcohol and quite full bodied. On palate it has quite pronounced flavours of lemon, honey, cream, apple pie and touch of caramel. Long length with lemon honey finish. (95)

酒力強勁,酒味亦複雜 ,口感豐富得來酸度又足,令酒的鮮活性保留而又不削,難得的釀造技巧,想信仍可再發展一下,酒現在喝已經很好,再陳一下應該會有另一層次的品飲感受。

2002 Giacomo Conterno Monfortino, Barolo Riserva

This dry red wine has deep ruby colour. On nose it has pronounced aromas of rose, black cherry, licorice, vanilla, mint and touch of earthiness. Medium acidity and alcohol. Full bodied with quite high tannin. The flavours contain black cherry, rose, licorice, earth, touch of tobacco. Long length with cherry finish. (96) Bit young but signs of its potential shown.

估唔到咁快有機會試。強勁、有力、濃厚集於一身。複雜性還待展現,畢竟仍很年輕,但亦開始有一點點的複雜氣味滲出來,長長餘韻亦顯示酒質,單寧一如所料的硬朗,仍需時間馴化,對這酒有一定期待。

1970 Gaja Barbaresco Infernot

Quite deep intensity ruby colour with some garnet rim. On nose it gives medium intensity aromas of berry tea, road tar, cinnamon, red plum juice. Dry with rather low acidity, medium bodied and soft medium tannin. On palate it gives medium intensity red plum, road tar, cinnamon licorice tea flavours. Slightly longer than medium length with red plum finish. (92) Good performance, given its age

老酒的表現出晒嚟。雖不致於老態龍鐘,亦一定走向下坡。酒的酸度有點不足,但酒味仍有些果感,餘韻亦算合格有餘。發展成熟,香料味綻放,慢慢㗳的酒。

2004 Sassicaia

Deep purple coloured dry red wine with over medium intensity aromas of  black plum, violet, blueberry, licorice, cinnamon, and pine, good spicy notes. Medium acidity with some malic acid note, medium alcohol and quite full bodied. The tannin is ripe and fine at medium level. The flavour intensity is quite high with flavours of black cherry, tea, licorice, violet and touch of cedar. Fairly long length with black cherry tea finish. (92) Good nose but a bit detached on palate.

香氣強而複雜、特別是那誘人的香料味,酒有著點點的蘋果酸感,但不太影響口感,反而多了點鮮活,單寧強,但亦成熟,餘韻算長,只是酒味有點分離感覺,好像不太融和的,所以味道分明,但不至於水溝油咁,也是一枝好酒來的。
