1969 Barolo, Enrico Serafino

This dry barolo has deep ruby colour but paler rim. On nose it has medium intensity aromas of black plum, caramel, dates, black cherry and hazelnut. Medium acidity and alcohol, medium bodied with fine grained tannin. On palate it gives medium flavours of black plum, cherry, vegetal, road tar type earthiness and trace of rancio notes. Longer than medium length with dried plum finish (85) Signs of tiredness and oxidized but keep good fruit and character

大吉利是,支酒未死,不過唔會有好耐。酒難得仍有一些果感,品種表現出色,不論香氣或酒味也是一枝過了適飲期的酒,餘韻仍是唔錯,老酒感十足,但我覺得老過頭。

2002 Giacomo Conterno Monfortino, Barolo Riserva

This dry red wine has deep ruby colour. On nose it has pronounced aromas of rose, black cherry, licorice, vanilla, mint and touch of earthiness. Medium acidity and alcohol. Full bodied with quite high tannin. The flavours contain black cherry, rose, licorice, earth, touch of tobacco. Long length with cherry finish. (96) Bit young but signs of its potential shown.

估唔到咁快有機會試。強勁、有力、濃厚集於一身。複雜性還待展現,畢竟仍很年輕,但亦開始有一點點的複雜氣味滲出來,長長餘韻亦顯示酒質,單寧一如所料的硬朗,仍需時間馴化,對這酒有一定期待。

1999 Luciano Sandrone Aleste-Cannubi Boschis, Barolo

This wine has deep ruby colour and pronounced nose of black plum, smoke, mint, rose, earth and blueberry. It is dry with medium acidity, quite full bodied. Medium alcohol and soft and ripe tannin. On palate it gives slightly over medium intensity flavours of black cherry, mint, rose, damped earth. Fairly long length with black cherry finish. (93) Delicious

可口的巴洛洛。酒力強勁,有標誌性的香味而且十分清晰,單寧柔順成熟。酒味在口中強度不及酒香,但也算強,餘韻亦長,好喝。

1999 Cicala Barolo, Poderi Aldo Conterno

Deep ruby colour with quite intense aromas of rose, mint, red plum, smoke, damp earth and hints of road tar, this dry red wine has medium acidity and alcohol. Medium bodied with medium fine grained tannin. On palate it has medium intensity flavours of red plum, mint, smoke, earth and toast. Medium length with plum finish. (91)

中上水平的巴洛洛。香氣及酒味的強度和複雜性頗一致,亦充份反映出田土特色,發展平衡成熟,可飲可陳,幾好味的。

1958 Giacomo Conterno Monfortino, Barolo Riserva

This wine still has medium ruby colour, with a touch of haziness. The aromas is so intense and complex that it has dried herbs, road tar, mint, rose tea, tree barks, leather and trace of sour cherry. It is dry with barely medium acidity, barely medium bodied and barely medium alcohol. The tannin is fine grained in nature at medium level. On palate it gives quite high intensity red cherry, licorice, spice box, British tea, leather and traces of dried rose and tar. Long length. (93) I wish I could meet him 10 years ago.

有些酒是會說故事的,像藝術品,這枝是一個例子。近六十年的歷史,這酒像一個步入老年的人在說故事。強烈的酒香說著他自己的發展過程,好像由花果香開始一路發展至陳酒的皮革味的整個故事。酒在口中的表現說著這酒步入老年了,平衡度仍在,但在苦苦支撐的,酒味的強度仍在,餘韻悠長,表現出它本身優秀的質素。酒體在口中鬆散了些,但畢竟已有這年歲。如果早十年飲相信會是一枝傳奇。

This dry red wine has quite deep intensity ruby colour. On nose it gives quite high intensity aromas of red plum, red cherry, rose, mint, anise and licorice. Medium acidity and alcohol, with medium bodied and quite high fine grained tannin. On palate it has medium intensity flavours of red plum, red berry, earth and touch of licorice and mint. Slightly longer than medium length with red plum finish. (90)

酒香不錯,也反映到品種特色。酒的整體表現中上,四四正正的,酒味不及酒香的強。餘韻也不錯。 是可口的一枝酒,佐餐一流的。

1974 Barolo Granbussia, Aldo Conterno

A medium ruby coloured dry red wine with medium intensity aromas of red plum, black cherry, mint, anise, and asphalt. Medium acidity, alcohol and bodied with ripe and fine grained medium tannin. The flavour intensity is quite high with flavours of red cherry, mint tea, rose and vegetal notes. Fairly long length with red berry finish. (92)

 四十多年的酒仍有這種熟果感已經值得一讚。合適強度的酒香有著合理的複雜性和品種特色,好。酒味在口中反而更強,但複雜性又反而低了,餘韻亦長,好飲的。這酒由倒酒落杯至吞下的表現很不一致,很得意,但幾享受這品飲過程。

1985 Barolo, Poderi Luigi Einaudi

This dry red wine still has quite deep ruby colour. On nose it gives medium intensity aromas of black plum, dried herb, black tea, licorice and touch of prune. Medium acidity with a trace of acetic nature, medium bodied and alcohol. Tannin is fine grained at medium level. The flavour intensity is quite high with flavours of black plum, dried berry, licorice and touch of mine. Slightly over medium length with black plum finish. (91)

 難得酒色和果味還那麼鮮活,酒的強度在口中比香氣強,但複雜性卻相反。餘韻算長,很不錯的酒。此酒的酸度帶有一點點削,但不礙品飲,整體不錯,但不太建議再作陳年了。

1979 Barolo, Aurelio Settimo

Quite deep ruby colour with medium intensity red berry, tar, mint tea, rose pedal and touch of caramel, it is dry with medium acidity, alcohol and bodied. Quite high tannin but coarse. On palate it has slightly over medium intensity flavours of red berry, mint tea, tar, and touch of leather. Fairly long length with red plum finish. (91)

 陳年的巴洛洛把葡萄的品種特色表露無遺。酒亦有一點陳年感。發展成熟,甚至有點過時,但可飲用,保存得很不錯。酒的強度在口中比香氣強,複雜性仍算好,餘韻亦長,好飲。

2005 Romirasco Barolo Bussia, Aldo Conterno

With medium acidity and alcohol, this deep ruby dry red wine has medium intensity nose of rose jam, black berry, mint leaf, clove and touch of road tar. Fuller than medium bodied with fairly high fine grained tannin, together with slightly higher than medium flavours of black cherry, tar, coal and touch of mint. Longer than medium length with black berry finish. (91)

酒香頗吸引,複雜性高,可是濃度不是那麼強。餘韻不錯,酒味的強度也可以,複雜性亦合格,幾好飲。

2006 Barolo Rocche Aurelio Settimo

A deep ruby wine with slightly over medium aromas of black plum, black cherry, smoke, earth and touch of rose. Dry with medium acidity, alcohol and bodied. Quite high tannin but a bit coarse. Medium level flavours of red plum rose and touch of herbaceous. Slightly over medium length with red cherry finish (88).

較普通簡單的一枝巴洛洛。口感較簡單,單寧頗高有時鞋,香氣有點點複雜性。日常飲用也可以的酒。

2004 Barolo Bric Del Fiasc, Paolo Scavino

This wine has deep ruby coloured with higher than medium intensity aromas of red plum jam, cranberry, rose, smoke and touch of dried herb. It is dry with medium acidity and alcohol. Medium bodied and soft tannin. The flavour intensity is slightly over medium level with flavours of red cherry, licorice and tea. Medium length and red cherry finish. (90)

聞的時候感覺這是好酒,酒香算濃及有一定複雜性,入口時酒味亦不錯,雖然不太複雜。但餘韻居然冇想像中長。

2004 Barolo Nei Cannubi, Luigi Einaudi

A deep ruby coloured dry red wine with pronounced nose of rose, red cherry, tea, vanilla and touch of smoke. Medium alcohol, acidity and bodied with higher than medium fine-grained tannin. On palate, it gives medium intensity flavours of red cherry, vanilla, plum and licorice. Fairly long length with red cherry finish. (91) Quite fruity on palate, still have potential.

口感充滿果味,餘韻算長,香氣也算複雜。應該仲有一定發展空間。

2004 Barolo San Rocco, Azelia

This is a dry red wine with deep ruby colour. On nose it gives medium intensity aromas of red plum, rose, licorice, earth with touch of candied berry. Fuller than medium bodied with medium acidity and alcohol. Fine-grained medium tannin with medium intensity flavours of red plum, rose pedal and vanilla. Medium length with red plum finish. (89)

嚴格講是一枝中規中矩的巴洛洛,香氣尚算不錯,其他就比較中等,口感也不太複雜。

2006 Barolo, Gianni Gagliardo

A deep ruby wine with pronounced nose of cherry, plum, licorice, mint and touch of truffle. It is dry with medium acidity and alcohol. Ripe medium tannin and slightly fuller than medium bodied. The flavour intensity is at medium level. Cherry, tea and licorice on palate with barely over medium length and red cherry finish. (91)

好香,果味及發展了的香氣混合得好好,口中酒味比不上香氣吸引,亦沒有那麼複雜,餘韻不錯。

2000 Monprivato Barolo, Mascarello

Quite high density ruby in colour with higher than medium intensity aromas of red cherry, earth, tar, spice, asphalt and leather. It is dry with medium alcohol, acidity and soft and fine-grained tannin. Slightly fuller than medium bodied. Quite high flavour intensity of red cherry, black tea, earth, spice and tar with just over medium length with vegetal and earthy finish. (90) Complex but not long enough. Good typicity too.

好有巴洛洛風格的一枝酒,玫瑰、柏油充滿酒體。香氣有一定複雜性,餘韻只比一般的稍長,不錯。

1995 Barolo Cascina Francia, G. Conterno

This wine has deep ruby coloured with quite intense nose of rose, mint, tar, steel, licorice and wet stone. It is dry with medium alcohol and acidity. Quite full bodied and quite high fine-grained tannin. Higher than medium intensity flavours on palate. Rose, red plum, mint, tea, tar and licorice. Long length with red plum finish (93). Good typicity and long length. Good complexity both on nose and palate.

複雜、有風格、餘韻長,高度均衡,好酒一枝。

2003 Barolo le Rocche, Bruno Giacosa

A deep ruby dry red wine with quite intense aromas of black plum, mint, tar, spice and floral. Medium alcohol, acidity and bodied. Quite strong tannin with fine-grained nature. The flavour intensity is quite pronounced with flavours of rose, red cherry, red plum, spice and tar. Longer than medium length with plummy finish. (90) Still developing,

感受到2003年的熱力,這枝酒果味成熟,風格亦凸出。但可能熟得有點過度,酒少了一點優雅感。

1998 Barolo, Bruno Giacosa

This is a deep ruby wine with quite high intensity aromas of rose, mint, tar, red cherry and touch of licorice and earth. Dry with medium acidity. Medium bodied and alcohol. The tannin is quite high but fine-grained in nature. Higher than medium intensity flavours of red plum, ripe cherry with notes of vegetal and tar. Fairly long length with red cherry finish. (91)  Quite consistent on nose and palate. Some evolvement on palate but not much. Good length too.

98白喱寶香氣不錯,口感相對稍遜。整體來說有一種均衡感,亦反映到巴洛洛的風格,不錯的酒品。

1996 Barolo Bricco Fiasco, Luigi Scavino

A deep ruby Barolo with quite intense aromas of rose, black cherry, mint, eucalyptus, licorice, smoke, quite floral. It is dry with medium acidity and alcohol. Quite high tannin but still fine-grained in nature. Fuller than medium bodied with medium intensity flavours of mint, black cherry, rose, licorice. Fairly long length with black plum and minty finish. (91) Quite complex but needs further development.

有點輕巧感,但亦有一定複雜性,可能是花的香味比較突出。餘韻長而複雜,酒在口中味道變化不大,與酒香頗一致。與朋友輕鬆地暢飲時最好。
