2005 Penfolds St. Henri Shiraz

Deep purple coloured with over medium intensity aromas of blackcurrant jam, black plum, prune, dried date, sweet vanilla. Very ripe black fruit. It is dry with medium acidity, medium alcohol and full bodied. Medium ripe and fine grained tannin too. On palate it gives over medium intensity flavours of black plum, black cherry, vanilla, earth and touch of vegetal note. Longer than medium length with black plum finish. (92) Ripe and concentrated. Pretty straight at the moment.

濃厚而且強勁的黑果感覺,其強度接近果醬的。 酒體豐厚雄渾,可喜的是單寧成熟,餘韻合格有餘。酒味在口中有一點點轉化,但是仍然以黑色果實為主,接近二十年的酒仍然有年輕感覺,難得,不過複雜性仍待開發,現在喝不錯,但相信仍可再陳一下。

2018 Kaesler Woms Shiraz Cabernet

Deep intensity purple coloured with quite intense aromas of blackcurrant, prune, black pepper, pine, violet, licorice spice and touch of cedar, very rich and complex nose. It is dry with medium acidity, full bodied with over medium alcohol. Medium ripe and smooth tannin and over medium intensity flavours of black plum, mulberry, touch of smoke and licorice, a bit savory. Medium length with black plum finish. (90) Wonderful silky mouthfeel but needs a longer length.

這酒很有驚喜。驚喜的地方在於只是五年的酒,但那丹寧的成熟及柔順感令人吃驚。酒的香氣十分出色,口感和酒體一如想像中的十分厚重,酒味在口中的表現尚算不錯,但是餘韻比想像中的短頗多,整體來說也是一個不錯的酒品,是會令人留下印象的。也說明了2018年澳洲似乎是一個幾好的年份。

A deep purple coloured dry red wine with pronounced noses of blackcurrant, black plum, black pepper, smoke, prune and touch of mint. It is dry with medium alcohol, medium bodied and acidity, medium ripe and soft tannin too. On palate it has pronounced level flavours of black plum, cherry, pepper, smoke and trace of mineral. Long length with black berry finish. (95) Full and heavy but harmony.

果味及香料味滿滿的酒,不單止酒力強勁和複雜,那種味道融和的感覺令人喝得滿心歡喜。酒仍有一定發展潛力,但現在喝已經很好味。那餘韻亦令人回味無窮,好好味的,是會引人不斷添飲的酒。

2005 Penfolds Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon

This dry red wine has deep intensity purple colour. On nose it has pronounced level aromas of blackcurrant, mint, black berry, smoke and touch of tobacco. Medium acidity and alcohol full bodied and thick. The tannin is ripe and soft at medium level. The flavour intensity is quite high with flavours of dried berry, blackcurrant, ripe plum and touch of mint, smoke and wet earth. Long length with berry finish. (94) Full with good fruit and nice development.

出色!強勁、圓潤、濃厚集於一身,果味感比香料味多一點,單寧柔順,餘韻悠長,相信任何人都可以喝得出是一枝佳釀。品種及木桶的標誌性也很分明,是一枝好喝得來又容易理解和欣賞的酒。

2012 Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay

A medium lemon green coloured dry white wine with quite pronounced noses of lemon, pear, apple, white flower and trace of vanilla, grass and almond. Medium mouth washing acidity and alcohol, quit full bodied. On palate it gives quite intense flavours of lemon, peach, honey, white flower, vanilla  and touch of nuttiness. Longer than medium length with lemon finish. (92) Fresh and pleasant. Alcohol slightly sticks out.

高質素的餐酒,酒力強勁,亦有一定複雜性,如果餘韻長一點就是一枝佳釀了。花果感好,香料味可能要多些時間發展。酒精感突出了一點,扣了點分。口感鮮爽,佐餐一流的。希望時間會幫它再作提升。

1996 Wolf Blass Cellar Reserve Shiraz

A dry red wine with deep intensity purple colour. On nose it has quite intense aromas of black berry, mint, violet, eucalyptus and vanilla, quite aromatic. Medium acidity and alcohol, full bodied with quite intense tannin. On palate it gives quite high intensity flavours of black cherry, licorice, vanilla, violet and trace of mint. Fairly long  length with black cherry finish. (91)  Enjoyable

在果味與香料味徘徊之間,酒香由果味帶頭,入口後香料味反而走出來似的。品種風格也算突出,酒力強,有一定複雜性,餘韻亦長,好喝。口感重,尚需一些時間,想信可以再陳年一下。

Medium acidity and alcohol, full bodied with quite intense ripe and fine grained tannin. On palate it has quite intense flavours of blackcurrant, black cherry, and trace of mushroom, licorice and vanilla. Fairly long aftertaste with black cherry finish. (93)

三十幾年的酒還像十多年的酒一樣,這款酒的陳年能力真是厲害。 酒力強,亦有一定複雜性,加上長的餘韻,擺明話你知它的高品質。酒無疑可以再陳年,現飲已經不錯,亦有一定想像空間。再多放五至七也無問題。

二十年仍然濃艷的酒,豐富、濃郁、酒力強,亦有一定複雜性和品種特色的黑胡椒味,再加上長長的餘韻,好酒一枝。酒的豐厚度是會令人有飽肚感,好好味。這樣的表現顯示出這酒還可陳放多一段長時間,現在飲已經幾好味,喜愛果味重的已經可以一試。

A medium lemon coloured dry white wine with medium intensity aromas of lemon, honey, peach, vanilla and hints of tropical fruits and wet stone. Medium acidity, alcohol and quite full bodied. On palate it has over medium intensity flavours of lemon, peach, honey, vanilla and mineral. Longer than medium length with lemony finish. (90) Pretty good palate.

這酒一貫在口中表現好,這枝也是。酒香強度一般但有齊了基本原素。酒在口中味道在強度更強,酒味很一致,餘韻更比想像中強。好飲,以餐酒來講是很不錯的。

A medium lemon green coloured dry white chardonnay wine with fairly high intensity aromas of lemon, honey, grass, vanilla and touch of musk, floral and mineral. Medium acidity and alcohol. Quite full bodied with slightly over medium flavour intensity. Fairly long length with flavours of lemon, floral ,grass, vanilla and touch of almond. Citrus finish. (92) Good length, bit lack of mid palate.

飲過這酒的幾個不同年份,整體來說全都很不錯,這枝亦然。酒香強,複雜性已開始展現,酒味在口中也有些複雜性,但鬆散了些,餘韻不錯,亦算長。現在可飲,但相信放多一兩年會更好的。

2012 Henschke Muscat of Tappa Pass

A pale lemon green coloured sweet wine with barely over medium intensity aromas of grape, cucumber, peach, touch of stewed pear, fresh and fruity. It is quite sweet with barely higher than medium acidity, a bit low in alcohol and barely medium bodied. On palate, it gives medium flavours of grape, honey, lemon, peach and touch of grapefruit. Medium lemony finish. (89)

十分清爽的酒,酒精感頗低,飲落似水果酒。果味充足,貫徹成枝酒味,果感由清轉濃,令人感覺很舒暢,簡單易飲,十分好的餐後酒。

This wine has deep purple colour and quite high intensity aromas of black plum jam, pepper, vanilla, coconut oil, licorice, toast and smoke. It is dry with medium acidity and alcohol. Quite full bodied with medium ripe and fine-grained tannin. On palate, it has slightly higher than medium intensity flavours of black cherry, plum, vanilla, licorice and meat. Fairly long length with black cherry finish. (92)

頗濃厚的一枝酒,除了葡萄品種特色展現了出來之外,亦展示了酒的木桶特色。重口、味濃、餘韻長都顯示了這酒不錯的質素,喜歡"好爆"或重口味的人會很喜歡。

2009 Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay

A medium lemon green coloured dry white wine with very high intensity aromas of toast almond, lemon, honey, vinyl chloride, floral and coconut. Medium acidity, alcohol and fuller than medium bodied. On palate it gives quite high intensity flavours of lemon, floral, vanilla, honey and peach. Fairly long length with honey and lemon finish. (92) Powerful and well balanced at high level.

強勁是這酒的一個合適的形容詞。酒力澎湃,酒香複雜性也好,餘韻也頗長,酒在口中複雜性差了點。但這酒早了點飲,仍有一定發展,過多兩三年會更進一步的。現在飲的話要透氣起碼個多小時。
(後話:品飲完後有酒友告知這酒有人評97分,我相信這酒發展成熟後應該會有94分左右,但我不認為值97)

1999 Henschke Hill of Grace

A deep purple dry red wine with pronounced nose of black cherry, black plum, black pepper and touch of pine, licorice and black olive. Medium acidity and alcohol with quite full bodied and medium fine grained tannin. On palate it gives medium intensity flavours of black cherry, vegetal, herbaceous, olive and touch of pepper. Rather cool and feminine with long length and black cherry finish. (93)

陰陰柔柔的口感但有著濃烈複雜的香氣,酒味的複雜性也不錯但強度較弱了點,餘韻長,仍有些發展潛力。

2003 Torbreck Runrig Barossa Valley

A deep purple dry red wine with pronounced nose of blackcurrant jam, black cherry, smoke, touch of pepper, black tea and vanilla. Quite youthful indeed. It has medium acidity, alcohol and full bodied. Quite high in tannin but soft and ripe with fairly high intensity flavours of black cherry, dried herb, vanilla, licorice, and pepper. Almost long length with black cherry finish. (94) Ripe and fruity, long way to go.

果味澎湃濃郁,有一點發展但應仍有一段時間才成熟,現飲的感覺是(套用一些人的說法)十分爆。餘韻長,口感及香氣的複雜性仍待發展。現飲可以,但個人覺得簡單了點,相信我對這酒將來的表現會更欣賞。

2003 Wolf Blass Black Label 31st Vintage

This wine has deep purple colour with over medium level aromas intensity. Aromas contain blackcurrant, plum, earth, black pepper spice with notes of raisin. It is dry with medium acidity and bodied. Fine-grained medium tannin and higher than medium intensity flavour of black cherry, plum, black pepper and wormwood. Fairly long length with black berry finish. (91)

這澳洲酒頗厚重的。果味濃厚,但酒體卻不十分重,餘韻長而酒味有一定複雜性,品質是值得肯定。但以我個人來說則少了點點優雅感,喜愛果味或所謂"爆"的酒友會更喜愛這酒的。
