2005 Penfolds St. Henri Shiraz

Deep purple coloured with over medium intensity aromas of blackcurrant jam, black plum, prune, dried date, sweet vanilla. Very ripe black fruit. It is dry with medium acidity, medium alcohol and full bodied. Medium ripe and fine grained tannin too. On palate it gives over medium intensity flavours of black plum, black cherry, vanilla, earth and touch of vegetal note. Longer than medium length with black plum finish. (92) Ripe and concentrated. Pretty straight at the moment.

濃厚而且強勁的黑果感覺，其強度接近果醬的。 酒體豐厚雄渾，可喜的是單寧成熟，餘韻合格有餘。酒味在口中有一點點轉化，但是仍然以黑色果實為主，接近二十年的酒仍然有年輕感覺，難得，不過複雜性仍待開發，現在喝不錯，但相信仍可再陳一下。

 

1996 Penfolds Grange

A deep purple coloured dry red wine with pronounced noses of blackcurrant, black plum, black pepper, smoke, prune and touch of mint. It is dry with medium alcohol, medium bodied and acidity, medium ripe and soft tannin too. On palate it has pronounced level flavours of black plum, cherry, pepper, smoke and trace of mineral. Long length with black berry finish. (95) Full and heavy but harmony.

果味及香料味滿滿的酒，不單止酒力強勁和複雜，那種味道融和的感覺令人喝得滿心歡喜。酒仍有一定發展潛力，但現在喝已經很好味。那餘韻亦令人回味無窮，好好味的，是會引人不斷添飲的酒。

2005 Penfolds Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon

This dry red wine has deep intensity purple colour. On nose it has pronounced level aromas of blackcurrant, mint, black berry, smoke and touch of tobacco. Medium acidity and alcohol full bodied and thick. The tannin is ripe and soft at medium level. The flavour intensity is quite high with flavours of dried berry, blackcurrant, ripe plum and touch of mint, smoke and wet earth. Long length with berry finish. (94) Full with good fruit and nice development.

出色！強勁、圓潤、濃厚集於一身，果味感比香料味多一點，單寧柔順，餘韻悠長，相信任何人都可以喝得出是一枝佳釀。品種及木桶的標誌性也很分明，是一枝好喝得來又容易理解和欣賞的酒。

1988 Penfolds Grange

A deep intensity purple coloured dry red wine with quite intense aromas of dried blackcurrant, black plum, prune, mulberry, smoke and dried herb. Medium acidity and alcohol, full bodied with quite intense ripe and fine grained tannin. On palate it has quite intense flavours of blackcurrant, black cherry, and trace of mushroom, licorice and vanilla. Fairly long aftertaste with black cherry finish. (93)

三十幾年的酒還像十多年的酒一樣，這款酒的陳年能力真是厲害。 酒力強，亦有一定複雜性，加上長的餘韻，擺明話你知它的高品質。酒無疑可以再陳年，現飲已經不錯，亦有一定想像空間。再多放五至七也無問題。

It is dry with medium acidity, medium alcohol and full bodied. Quite high tannin but ripe and fine grained. On palate it has quite high intensity flavours of black cherry, smoke, black tea, pepper and licorice spice. Close to long length black cherry finish. (94)

二十年仍然濃艷的酒，豐富、濃郁、酒力強，亦有一定複雜性和品種特色的黑胡椒味，再加上長長的餘韻，好酒一枝。酒的豐厚度是會令人有飽肚感，好好味。這樣的表現顯示出這酒還可陳放多一段長時間，現在飲已經幾好味，喜愛果味重的已經可以一試。

1998 Penfold's RWT

This wine has deep purple colour and quite high intensity aromas of black plum jam, pepper, vanilla, coconut oil, licorice, toast and smoke. It is dry with medium acidity and alcohol. Quite full bodied with medium ripe and fine-grained tannin. On palate, it has slightly higher than medium intensity flavours of black cherry, plum, vanilla, licorice and meat. Fairly long length with black cherry finish. (92)

頗濃厚的一枝酒，除了葡萄品種特色展現了出來之外，亦展示了酒的木桶特色。重口、味濃、餘韻長都顯示了這酒不錯的質素，喜歡"好爆"或重口味的人會很喜歡。

1998 Penfolds Grange

A deep purple wine with paler rim and heavy legs. It has pronounced aromas of blackberries, black plum, blueberries, sweet spice, black pepper with touch of leather, chocolate and vanilla. On palate, it gives medium zesty acidity and has full body and more than medium alcohol. Ripe and sweet high tannin with intense flavours of fruity attack by tons of black fruit backing up with vanilla type sweet spice. It then evolves to licorice, meaty, savoury, leather flavours, together with a long length and pleasant plumy finish (94)

2004 Penfolds Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon

A pretty straight forward wine. This deep ruby dry wine gives a sweet blackcurrant nose with a trace of vegetal note. On palate, it is round and soft with medium acidity. The body is medium to full with soft tannin. Finish is weak. It is a good wine for daily drinking with food and snack. (86) (Tasted on 23 November 2008, reposted)

2004 Penfolds Bin 128 Coonawarra Shiraz

Having this clear deep ruby wine with BBQ. It offers light black fruit and vanilla aroma with little spice note. On palate, this dry wine gives light black berry flavour and spice with a medium licorice flavour at the end. Medium acidity with soft or even weak tannin. The finish is weak and short with a little minty flavour lingering for a few seconds. Not bad for a dinner wine with BBQ. (87) (Tasted on 28 September 2008, reposted)

Rutherglen Muscat

This fortified wine is a typical sweet Muscat from Australia. It has medium mahogany colour with quite pronounced aromas of raisin, orange peel, dried long-an, christmas cake and trace of dusty. It is sweet with quite high acidity. Alcohol is fortified to medium level and full bodied. The flavour intensity is medium with flavours of raisin, christmas cake, dried plum and orange marmalade. Fairly long length with raisin finish. (89) Rich of raisin flavours and a bit heavy in style, which makes the mouth feel a bit cloying.

正正一枝提子乾酒的感覺，但仍有一點複雜性，其龍眼乾味更令人有點驚喜。可惜是口感有點膩，但我覺得有點過甜。
