A deep purple coloured dry wine with medium intensity aromas of
blackcurrant, cigar box, pencil shaving, smoke, clove and vanilla type
sweet spice. It has medium acidity and alcohol. Medium plus bodied with
medium soft and fine-grained tannin. Quite high intensity flavours of
blackcurrant, raspberry, black cherry, vegetal, cedar and sweet spice.
Long length with black cherry finish. (95) (Tasted on 19 Nov 2011)
Third
time to taste this beauty offered by my friend. This one is not an
ex-chateau item and coincidentally both ex-chateau items performed
better than this one to some extents. The wine lacked evolvement on
palate then the previous two I tasted, tho this one can be drunk
beautifully still.
