2001 Chateau de Fargues

Medium gold colour Sauternes with a medium nose of grass, honeysuckle, vanilla spice, musk and touch of lime and white flower. Quite sweet with medium acidity. Fuller than medium bodied with medium alcohol. Oily texture. On palate it gives quite pronounced flavour of citrus, grapefruit, elderflower and grass. Fairly long length with honey apricot finish. (91) Good nose and reasonable palate. The length is not bad too. It reflects good typicity, maybe due to the good vintage?
