1999 Chateauneuf du Pape, Ch. de Beaucastel

Deep ruby colour with medium intensity aromas of red berries, licorice, hay, earth, and some dried herbs. Dry with medium alcohol, acidity but a bit fuller than medium body. The tannin is at medium level and soft in nature. Medium flavour intensity. Red cherry, red plum, licorice, vanilla and dried herbs. Slightly longer than medium length with red plumy finish (90) A wine having a better palate than nose with a pleasant finish.
