1997 Hermitage le Chapelle, Paul Jaboulet Aine

A deep ruby dry wine with a live and vivid red fruit and licorice aroma. Red cherry, pepper and trace of leather fill up my nose. It has medium to full body with medium tannin and acidity. The tannin is still strong which means it can age for a few more years at least. On palate, the flavour follows, together with further flavour of road tar, rose and the finish lasts for more than 20 sec. Wonderful. (94)
