1998 Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Ch. de Beaucastel

Fantastic. This is the third time that I taste this beauty and this wine never lets me down. The wine has a deep ruby colour with paler rim. On nose, it has a red cherry attack and then a pronounced aroma of red fruit, licorice, leather comes out with spicy and earthy note. It has medium to full body and soft and ripe tannin. A long finish lasts for more than 20 seconds follows after various flavours evolve in palate. (96)
