1997 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Justine, Domaine du Pegau

This is a dry wine of deep ruby colour. On nose it has medium intensity of red cherry, red plum candy, licorice, vanilla, dried herbs, touch of leather and earth. Medium alcohol and acidity. Higher than medium tannin but soft and fine-grained in nature. Quite full bodied with higher than medium flavour intensity. Red cherry, plum, licorice, vanilla and dried herb with a note of earthiness. Close to long length with red plum finish. (94) Well integrated with good complexity and intensity. Impressive length but the nose is relatively weak.
