2001 Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Ch. de Beaucastel

The light brick ruby wine offers a clear mushroom, red strawberry aroma with hint of spice. It is medium body with red plum, strawberry, mushroom, and a bit earthy on palate. The tannin is soft and smooth with light to medium acidity. This dry wine also gives a 20 more seconds finish. A beautiful one. (94) (Tasted on 12 October 2008, reposted)
