1998 Penfolds Grange
A deep purple wine with paler rim and heavy legs. It has pronounced
aromas of blackberries, black plum, blueberries, sweet spice, black
pepper with touch of leather, chocolate and vanilla. On palate, it gives
medium zesty acidity and has full body and more than medium alcohol.
Ripe and sweet high tannin with intense flavours of fruity attack by
tons of black fruit backing up with vanilla type sweet spice. It then
evolves to licorice, meaty, savoury, leather flavours, together with a
long length and pleasant plumy finish (94)
