1996 Hermitage la Chapelle, Paul Jabolet Aine

The deep ruby dry wine gives red plum, intense licorice and trace of pepper noses. On palate, it gives low acidity, medium body and soft medium tannin, together with cherry, minty and trace of leather flavours. The aftertaste lingers long. Given the tannin level and its acidity, the wine can age for a further 5 years at least. (91)
