2002 Ch. La Tour Haut Brion

This can be a beautiful wine but it is sadly in a mediocre vintage. The wine is deep purple in colour with ruby tint. It gives pronounced blackcurrant flavour attack with sweet black plum and cherry. A trace of licorice and wood can still be detected. The nose of the wine is fruity and enjoyable. On palate, this wine has medium to full body with medium acidity and supple tannins, tho it may need a further while to have the tannin matured. The after taste is short with a little licorice and earthy note. (89) (Tasted on 21 November 2008, reposted)
