1983 Ch. Latour

Tasting this wine with a bunch of wine buff. This one has a deep garnet to tawny colour with a paler tawny/brown rim. On nose it gives blackcurrant, plum, smoke, tobacco, cedar note with hints of licorice. This has medium acidity, alcohol, tannin and body. The tannin is smooth and soft and the after taste is long. On palate it further gives leather and meat flavour, together with the fruit, spice and vegetal sensed on nose. The wine is complex but not so strong as expected.
