Ch. FONTPINOT 1er Cru de Cognac XO Grande Champagne

Medium copper coloured with quite intense aromas of raisin, honey, stewed orange, cinnamon, vanilla and licorice spices. Water brings our jasmine notes. It is dry with medium acidity and warming alcohol, full bodied with over medium intensity flavours of orange, caramel, honey, peach, vanilla ans saw dust. Longer than medium length with orange peel finish. (91) Need better length.

這酒的感覺頗新的,沒有老酒的感覺。酒的強度不錯,亦有一定複雜性,餘韻合格,但比想像中短。這酒不像一些大品牌的X O,少了成熟感,多了些花果味,是另一種表現。

Tesseron Great Smoker

Medium copper in colour with medium intensity of prune, dates, honey, dried apricot, peach and trace of limestone and jasmine. Water brings out floral notes. It is dry with rather low acidity, medium alcohol and  quite full bodied. On palate it gives over medium intensity of lemon, jasmine, toasted walnut and caramel flavours. Longer than medium length with citrus and jasmine finish. (93) Pretty complex.

頗有趣的,酒是有不錯的複雜性,是徘徊在花果及堅果之間的味道,酒的強度並不是很特出,但是酒味在風格上的遊走已經令人覺得有趣。好好玩似的。酒的口感醇厚,餘韻比想像中短了點,整體是一枝很不錯的酒。

Tesseron Master Blended XO Cognac

This cognac has medium intensity mahogany colour. On nose it gives pronounced level aromas of prune, jasmine, caramel, honey, citrus peel, and orange. Water brings out floral notes and enhances orange candy notes. It is dry with medium acidity and well integrated alcohol, quite full bodied with touch of wood tannin. On palate it has over medium intensity flavours of orange peel, citrus, jasmine, caramel and touch of chalk. Fairly long length with orange peel finish. (94)

 酒香誇啦啦的,又香又強又複雜,加水後亦有所變化,酒香亦展現一定陳年感,正。口感豐厚,可是酒味在口中不論在強度和複雜性都不及酒香,餘韻算長,但沒有想像中長,可能酒香太好,令我提高了期望吧。酒很不錯,好好飲。

1969 Hine Grande Champagne Cognac (bottled in 1999)

This vintage cognac has medium intensity amber colour. On nose it gives quite high intensity aromas of orange, honey, caramel, prune, vanilla, tropical fruit and touch of nutmeg and floral note.  Water dilutes everything. Dry with medium acidity, well integrated medium alcohol, quite full bodied with touch of wood tannin. On palate it has medium intensity flavours of orange peel, prune, vanilla, and touch of honey. Fairly long length with orange peel finish. (93) Good nose but a bit weak palate.

酒的香氣很好,算得上強而複雜,加水後沒有變化,令我打了個突。入口果然是比酒香差了,不論在強度和複雜性也是,餘韻算長,加返點分。整體來說不錯,亦說明了年份干邑始終有點限制。

A medium intensity copper coloured cognac with medium intensity aromas of prune, apricot, jasmine, orange jam, chalk, citrus peel and touch of tropical fruit. Water dilutes everything. Medium acidity, slightly higher than medium alcohol and quite full bodied. Touch of wood tannin is detected. On palate it gives medium intensity flavour of prune, mango, chalk, jasmine and touch of orange peel. Long length with prune finish. (93) Just because of length

這酒最大的缺點是酒力不夠強,複雜性很不錯,餘韻很長,酒的陳年感亦有一點,但不強。酒亦反映出大香檳區的特性,口感不算太豐厚,但整體來說仍是一枝很不錯的酒。

Bache Gabrielsen Hors d'Age Grande Champagne Cognac

A medium copper coloured cognac with medium intensity aromas of prune, jasmine, chalk, honey, raisin, mango and touch of vanilla. Water enhances its floralness and reduces the others. It is dry with medium acidity, medium well integrated alcohol and fuller than medium bodied. The flavour intensity is quite high with flavours of caramel, honey, raisin, dried peach and touch of chalk. Longer than medium length with dried fruit finish. (93)

酒反映出大香檳區的干邑特色,香氣不算強,但仍有一定複雜性,酒入口後表現比聞酒香好,強度反而大了點,複雜性勉強維持著,餘韻算長,中上的酒品,公公整整的,不錯。

Tesseron Extra Legende Cognac

Quite deep gold colour with fairly high noses of prune, apricot, peach, honey and touch of jasmine, orange peel and cinnamon, it is dry with medium acidity, medium integrated alcohol and medium bodied.  Adding water enhance its honey notes. On palate it gives over medium intensity flavours of jasmine, honey, peach, apricot and vanilla. Fairly long length with citrus and jasmine finish. (92)

酒香不錯,強而有一定複雜,口感不算很豐厚,甚至可說有點爽爽的。 酒在口中有鮮活感,也可說是陳年感不足,酒味複雜性也少了些,餘韻算長,幾好飲,但以這品牌來說只是中等左右的水準。

This cognac has medium intensity gold colour. On nose it has quite high intensity aromas of jasmine, honey, apricot, orange and touch of ginger, cinnamon and vanilla. Water enhances its floral notes but reduces the others. Dry with medium acidity, warming medium alcohol and quite full bodied. On palate it gives quite high intensity flavours of jasmine, apricot, orange peel and touch of chalk. Fairly long length with cinnamon honey finish. (93)

酒的香氣及酒味都很好,複雜而強,亦展現了大香檳區干邑的特色,餘韻算長。香料味頗強的一款酒,只是陳年感欠了點,而且酒在口中的口感不夠豐滿,寡了點。總體是好喝的。

Remy Martin Louis XIII (70s)

This Cognac has medium intensity amber colour. On nose it has quite high intensity aromas of raisin, apricot, caramel, jasmine and hints of citrus peel and chalk. Water brings out sweet spice notes. Some sweet tinge and medium well integrated smooth alcohol. Medium acidity and quite full bodied. On palate it gives fairly high intensity flavours of raisin, apricot, caramel, honey and touch of chalk and orange peel. Close to long length with raisin fruity finish. (94)

七十年代的路易十三在飲之前有點擔心酒會太老。聞酒香時這份擔心已一掃而空。酒除了展示了它十足的陳年感外,仍有著一定的花果香氣和大香檳區的特性。酒味醇厚,香氣足,口感豐富而又柔順,餘韻長,隱隱約約的。但亦說回來,我相信如果我早幾年飲,我會比更高的評價。以酒的發展來說我相信這酒剛剛過了高峰,所以現在好飲了。或者現在可以試試八十年代的就會更清楚。

Martell 3 Star Cognac

This old cognac has medium copper colour. On nose it has almost pronounced aromas of raisin, apricot, jasmine, orange peel and touch of chalk. Water enhances its floral aroma. Off dry with medium acidity, medium integrated alcohol and fuller than medium bodied. On palate it gives slightly over medium flavours of citrus peel, prune, touch of caramel, raisin and jasmine. Longer than medium length with prune finish. (91)

這些舊酒真的拍得住現今的XO級數。酒的陳年感充分,比起一些現在的普通XO更有過之而無不及。只是原酒的複雜感可能有點不足,所以整體的複雜性差了點點,但仍有頗強的酒香和複雜性,餘韻亦合格有餘,已經不錯了。

A cognac having medium copper colour and pronounced intensity aromas of jasmine, orange peel, raisin and touch of caramel and chalk. Water brings out floral notes. It is off-dry with medium acidity, warming medium alcohol and medium bodied. Touch of tannin is detected. On palate it gives medium intensity flavours of jasmine, orange and raisin. Fairly long length with jasmine and orange finish. (89)

像是一枝普普通通的XO。聞比飲好,複雜性也是酒香好點,酒有一點點陳年感。最值得讚是餘韻,有一定長。其他表現沒有什麼特色,可能是酒底的質素吧。

1970 Cognac Grande Champagne, Cognac de Collection, Jean Grosperrin

Medium amber coloured Cognac with quite high intensity aromas of caramel, citrus peel, prune and touch of honey and apricot. Water enhances its floral note. It is dry with medium acidity, alcohol and fuller than medium bodied. Wood tannin also noted. On palate, it gives medium intensity citrus, jasmine, apricot and touch of caramel. Slightly longer than medium length with jasmine finish. (92) A bit lack of complexity but beautiful finish.

口感豐滿但複雜性有點點不足的。香氣其實頗佳,但在口中酒味差了點,要讚的是餘韻,雖然不是非常長,但韻味很怡人。好飲,但配合一些餐後。

This cognac has medium intensity copper colour. On nose it gives fairly pronounced aromas of jasmine, orange, apricot, honey, vanilla and touch of caramel. Water brings out tropical fruit notes. It is off-dry with medium acidity. Mellow medium alcohol and fuller than medium bodied, touch of tannin detected. On palate it has slightly over medium flavours of orange peel, honey, apricot and touch of caramel and vanilla. Fairly long length with honey and tropical fruit finish. (92)

口感很醇厚,亦展現了酒的陳年感。酒香強烈複雜有變化,可是在口中複雜性少了。餘韻算長,收結吸引,但如以酒質計此酒只可以比美以前的普通XO,所以有一個價格及品牌升級的感覺。

This Cognac has medium intensity mahogany colour. On nose it gives fairly high intensity aromas of raisin, jasmine, citrus peel, caramel and touch of vanilla and honey. Water enhances its floral note and adds some tropical characters. It is dry with medium acidity, smooth medium alcohol and quite full bodied. Touch of tannin is detected with slightly over medium intensity flavours of prune, raisin, honey, orange peel and touch of vanilla and nuts. Long length with honey and prune finish. (94)

舊酒吸引力表現出來。酒香濃郁有複雜性。口感豐厚圓潤,酒味亦展現出層次感,餘韻長而吸引,令人回味,酒味及酒香表現一致,飯後只飲這酒而不食甜品 也會有一種滿足的感覺。

Martell Creation Cognac XO

Medium mahogany with pronounced nose of raisin, prune, jasmine, caramel, toffee, vanilla, citrus peel and honey. Water enhances floral notes and spiciness, note of lemon is detected too. It is off dry with medium acidity and integrated and smooth alcohol. Round and smooth mouthfeel with fairly full bodied. On palate it gives close to pronounced flavours of prune, vanilla, toffee, licorice and citrus peel. Long length with honey and orange candy finish. (95)

這酒令我想起二三十年前的舊XO,充滿著濃郁複雜的香氣及酒味,餘韻悠長,口感豐厚圓滑,飯後飲的話,酒本身已是一份甜品,好好味。再加強一些複雜性會成為一枝傳世佳釀。

Tesseron Lot No. 29

This XO has a medium amber colour. On nose it gives medium intensity aromas of jasmine, tropical fruit, prune, vanilla and touch of caramel and floral. With water pineapple aroma appears. It is dry with medium bodied, acidity and well-integrated alcohol, Mellow mouthfeel and long subtle prune aftertaste. The flavour intensity is higher than medium with flavours of floral, jasmine, caramel, vanilla and touch of prune. (94)

酒香誘人吸引,入口亦醇厚,餘韻長,口感亦算有一定複雜性,好飲,但如果酒味再複雜多一點就一流了。

This cognac has medium amber colour with quite pronounced aromas of orange peel, jasmine, vanilla, caramel and apricot. Water enhances its floral and honey notes. It is dry with medium acidity and integrated alcohol. Quite full bodied with higher than medium intensity flavours of prune, caramel and touch of jasmine, citrus peel. Almost long length with prune finish. (93) Subtle and long in palate

香氣好好,餘韻亦長,雖然酒味比想像簡單但有層次,好味。

Martell Chanteloup

A medium copper coloured cognac with higher than medium aromas of prune, honey, caramel and touch of jasmine. With water the aromas of floral and honey notes are enhanced. Dry with medium acidity and integrated alcohol with slightly over medium bodied. Fairly high intensity flavours of raisin, orange peel, jasmine and honey with close to long length and raisin finish. (90)

焦糖味較重,有一定的複雜性但不是很大,餘韻吸引而酒味合格,不錯,但沒想像的好,愛口感較輕巧的人可能會有點失望。

Jean Fillioux Cognac Reserve Familiale Tres Vieille 1er Cru

This Cognac is medium gold in colour. On nose it gives quite high intensity aromas of jasmine, honey, citrus peel, vanilla and touch of caramel. With water the floral and honey notes are enhanced. Dry with medium acidity and integrated alcohol. A touch of tannin is noted with fairly high intensity flavours of honey, floral, caramel, jasmine and citrus. Quite full bodied and fairly long length with citrus and vanilla finish. (93) Good but not mature enough.

最初感覺這酒頗新,但聞了一會感覺有一定複雜性,雖然複雜的香味並不太明顯,口感都算醇厚,餘韻亦長,不錯。

GODET XO

This spirit has medium intensity mahogany colour with quite intense aromas of jasmine, raisin, orange peel, vanilla and apricot. It is dry with integrated alcohol. Quite full bodied. Medium flavours of jasmine, orange, vanilla, licorice and prune. Medium length with raisiny finish. (89) Rich and round with reasonable complexity. Good value.

圓潤口感,豐厚酒味但複雜性不足,酒香也不十分強烈。餘韻以XO來說可以話差點不合格。如果衡量埋價值就的話,這枝酒是抵飲的。
