Remy Martin Louis XIII (70s)

This Cognac has medium intensity amber colour. On nose it has quite high intensity aromas of raisin, apricot, caramel, jasmine and hints of citrus peel and chalk. Water brings out sweet spice notes. Some sweet tinge and medium well integrated smooth alcohol. Medium acidity and quite full bodied. On palate it gives fairly high intensity flavours of raisin, apricot, caramel, honey and touch of chalk and orange peel. Close to long length with raisin fruity finish. (94)

七十年代的路易十三在飲之前有點擔心酒會太老。聞酒香時這份擔心已一掃而空。酒除了展示了它十足的陳年感外,仍有著一定的花果香氣和大香檳區的特性。酒味醇厚,香氣足,口感豐富而又柔順,餘韻長,隱隱約約的。但亦說回來,我相信如果我早幾年飲,我會比更高的評價。以酒的發展來說我相信這酒剛剛過了高峰,所以現在好飲了。或者現在可以試試八十年代的就會更清楚。

Remy Martin XO Premier Cru

This XO is a 100% Grande Champagne XO. It has medium mahogany colour with quite pronounced aromas of raisin, apricot, caramel, jasmine and touch of honey, hazelnut and citrus. With water it gives notes of floral and rubber and the jasmine aromas is enhanced. Dry with integrated alcohol. Medium bodied and  medium flavour intensity. Raisin, jasmine, honey, caramel with touch of nuttiness. Fairly long length with raisin and caramel finish. (91) Quite complex and concentrated. Elegance and fine but  better complexity and flavour intensity will make it a wonderful one.

有點複雜,均衡優雅,口感亦算豐富。不錯的XO。

Remy Martin XO Cognac

A medium amber coloured cognac with quite pronounced and very aged noses of citrus, jasmine, honey, caramel, violet and touch of cheese. Watering it gives further violet and floral notes. Dry with integrated alcohol and touch of tannin bite. Quite full bodied with medium flavour intensity. Citrus, honey, raisin, caramel. Fairly long length with caramel and raisin finish. (90) Touch of rancio notes and good length. Quite rich and heavy in style.

保持了人頭馬一貫的厚重感之餘仍有FINE CHAMPAGNE的風格,但那種陳年感覺稍為失色,口感亦不算十分出色,餘韻尚算長。
