2003 Ch. Gruard Larose

This dry wine has a medium to deep ruby colour with paler rim. On nose it gives plum, licorice type herbal aromas with trace of earth. It has low to medium acidity and medium body. The tannin is medium but a bit green. The flavours on palate are led by earth and leather with plumy and cherry notes. The finish last for around 10 second.  It seems to me that the fruit inside this wine is not fully ripe but the balance is still maintained. (89)
