2000 Ch. Poujeaux

This wine is deep ruby/purple colour with ripe blackcurrant and spice flavour. It has medium alcohol, acidity, tannin and length. The texture and the tannin are smooth and silky. On palate, the black fruit flavour is fading but smoky and earthy flavour are evolving. This wine has all the element of a great wine but those elements do not have enough strength to make it a great one. Anyhow, it is nice for everyday drinking.
