1966 Ch. Calon Segur

This old dry red wine still has deep garnet colour with brown rim at 43 years of age. An intense nose of leather, damp earth and cedar wood covers trace of red fruit, smoke and spice. It has light to medium body and low acidity and tannin. On palate, a sense of cherry with loads of earthy and leathery flavour. The mid-palate is tired and the structure is falling. The aftertaste lasts for a few seconds. (88)
