1978 Ch. Leoville Barton

Medium purple colour with quite pronounced aromas of blackcurrant, bell pepper, mushroom, mint leaf, earth and touch of licorice. It is dry with medium acidity, medium alcohol and bodied with less than medium level tannin. On palate it has medium intensity flavours of bell pepper, green cherry, vegetal and touch of damp wood. Slightly longer than medium length with green cherry finish. (83) Past its best

難得未死。酒一定過了適飲期。酒香仍有著一定強度和複雜性，可是在口中除了複雜性和強度下跌外，酒的口感頗鬆散，餘韻算不錯了。預計這酒表現會快速下降，快喝。

1982 Ch. Leoville Barton

This old bordeaux still has rather deep purple colour. On nose it has quite high intensity aromas of bell pepper, black plum and cherry, smoke, toast and touch of earth. It is dry with medium alcohol and acidity. Slightly fuller than medium bodied and medium fine grained tannin. The flavour intensity and length are both at medium level with flavours of bell pepper, black plum and spice, and wild cherry finish. (89)

展現出老酒的風味。除非很喜歡飲陳年舊酒，否則有貨要飲了。酒味應沒有發展空間了，香氣不錯，力度及複雜性皆可，但酒味的力度及複雜性差了點。餘韻尚算不錯。幾好飲，但不會有任何驚喜的。

A deep purple dry red wine with pronounced aromas of blackcurrant, smoke, plum, earth and violet. Medium acidity and alcohol with slight fuller than medium bodied. The tannin is chewy at medium level. Slightly over medium intensity flavour of black berry, plum, bell pepper and licorice. Medium length with black plum finish and trace of bitterness. (90)

餘韻比想像中短了點，亦有一點苦。香氣是很不錯的，酒味亦好，如果唔係有點後勁不繼的話，會好好的。

2002 Ch. Leoville Barton

Deep purple wine with medium nose of black plum, earth, violet and touches of smoke and pepper. Dry with slightly over medium acidity, medium alcohol and a touch over medium body. The tannin is fine grained and soft at medium level. The flavour intensity is barely over the medium level. Violet, black cherry, blueberry, earth and vegetal. Medium length with plumy finish. (89) Quite easy-going, a bit lax in structure and a bit lack of complexity.
