2002 Ch. Haut Brion

This is a deep purple coloured dry red Bordeaux with quite intense noses of blackcurrant, vegetal, bell pepper, violet, black cherry, tobacco leaf, cedar and touch of minty. Good development. Medium acidity and alcohol, full bodied with medium soft and fine grained tannin. On palate it gives over medium intensity flavours of black cherry, bell pepper, violet, damped wood and touch of tobacco and licorice. Medium length with black cherry finish. (92)

20年的奧比安真係要飲了。酒的香氣已經說給你聽發展完成。酒味充足強度亦算不錯,複雜性在口中來說不及香氣那麼好,但也表現出它是一支造得好的酒品,餘韻有點短,是一個扣分的地方。整體來說,仍是一支很好喝的酒,適合慢慢飲。

1976 Ch. Haut Brion

This dry red wine still have quite deep purple colour, with a garnet rim. On nose it has close to pronounced level aromas of blackcurrant, licorice, black cherry, violet, toast and touch of mint tea, quite fresh indeed. Medium acidity and alcohol with fuller than medium bodied. The tannin is at barely medium level, touch of greenness is detected. Slightly over medium intensity flavours of black cherry, licorice, earth, and touch of leather. Fairly long length with black cherry finish. (91) Fading but still fresh.

酒香仍有一定鮮果感,很難得。發展成熟,甚至有下坡的狀態。香氣仍然很出色,酒味雖不及香氣那麼好但仍很不錯,餘韻亦長,是一枝好喝的酒品,但不建議再陳年了。

2005 Ch. Haut Brion Blanc

A medium intensity lemon colour dry white wine with pronounced level of PVC attack, amber, vanilla, musk, sawdust, elderflower and touch of pineapple. Medium acidity and alcohol, quite full bodied with quite high intensity flavours of lemon, honey, elderflower, vanilla and touch of pineapple and musky. Close to long length with lemon candy finish. (95) Impressive and good development.

兩年後再試,這酒並沒有令我失望,反而欣喜。酒的發展很好,但仍有潛力再進一步。酒力強,複雜性強,特別是開始那濃烈花香的攻勢,餘韻長而有著極熟的果感回味,十分吸引,很好飲的一枝酒,也應是近年一枝極出色的波爾多白酒。

1976 Ch. Haut Brion

A 1976 vintage Bordeaux still has quite deep purple colour. On nose it gives quite high intensity aromas of blackcurrant, bell pepper, black cherry, smoke warm brick, violet, sweet vanilla and toast. It is dry with medium acidity, medium alcohol and quite full bodied. Medium soft and fine grain tannin with quite high flavour intensity. The flavours contain blackcurrant, black cherry, bell pepper, smoke, earth, licorice and black tea. Long length with black cherry finish. (93) Good complexity and soft, good typicity as well.

76年酒,不失地區特色而又展現成熟酒的風味 ,仲有強勁的酒力和複雜性,餘韻又長,一枝好酒應該有的表現已差不多齊全了,只是酒在口感中結構鬆散了點,但仍是一枝出色的酒,別藏了,盡情喝吧!

Deep purple coloured dry red wine with barely pronounced intensity aromas of blackcurrant, warm brick, black berry, sweet licorice and touch of mint and plum. Medium acidity and alcohol with quite full bodied and medium soft ripe tannin. On palate it gives slightly over medium intensity flavours of blackcurrant, blackberry, licorice, plum and some dusty and earthy notes. Longer than medium length with blackberry finish. (93)

以奧比安來說這枝算合格有餘。酒香及酒味也有著地區風格,酒力強度不錯,特別是香氣,複雜性在口中單調了一點點。好飲的,保持著酒莊的水準,但不會有驚喜。

(抱歉: 由於些酒是在某一大形埸合斟來給我的,所以我拍不到照。)

Deep purple coloured with almost pronounced level intensity aromas of black plum, bell pepper, graphite, earth, mint and ripe blueberry, it is dry with medium acidity, alcohol and bodied. Still quite high tannin level but a touch of greenness is detected. On palate it has slightly over medium intensity flavours of black cherry, bell pepper, licorice, earth and touch of dust. Longer than medium length with blueberry finish. (93)

可口好飲。有著GRAVE酒區的風土性。酒香仍強而複雜,發展成熟。單寧有點點枝梗味但不太礙事。酒在口中簡單了點,酒的強度也跌了點,餘韻也不錯。

Deep purple colour with pronounced aromas of bell pepper, black cherry, black plum, warm brick, licorice type toasted herbs and touch of lavender, smoke and graphite. It is dry with medium acidity, alcohol and fuller than medium bodied. Ripe and smooth medium tannin and fairly high intensity flavours. The flavours contain black cherry, lavender, ripe plum with touch of smoke, dust and warm earth. Long length with black plum finish. (96)

這是一枝令人難忘的波爾多。除了1990 Ch. Montrose之外,這是另一枝令我難以忘懷的波爾多紅酒。酒香強而複雜,像有著一篇長篇故事在訴說著一樣。酒體柔順,各酒味融為一體,複雜得來又容易明白。聞完酒香入口後,它不會給你在味覺上有特別驚喜,但有一種完美感,像是設定靚酒的標準一樣。餘韻亦一直提醒飲者它的質數,好好飲。

2005 Ch. Haut Brion Blanc

This is a medium lemon colour dry white wine with fairly high intensity aromas of honey, vinyl chloride, floral, grass cutting, sandalwood, ripe guava and touch of tropical fruit and mineral. Quite high acidity and medium alcohol, fuller than medium bodied with quite high intensity flavours of honey, lemonade, grass cutting and mineral. Long length with honey citrus finish. (95) Young but impressive.

仍然很年青,這酒仍有深厚的潛質仍未展現。酒香及酒力強,複雜性現階段還未充分出現,須要慢慢品嚐才會找到。餘韻長,亦吸引,好酒一枝,但須多一點時間,會是一枝令人難忘的酒品。

奧比安在五大的性價比真的相對較高。酒香及酒味都強勁複雜, 餘韻長而吸引,由聞酒香到飲都不令人失望。酒亦反映了PESSAC LEOGNAN的田土風格,做得很不錯,非常好的酒品。

Deep purple coloured with fairly high intensity aromas of blackcurrant, vegetal, licorice, damp earth, vanilla and graphite, it is dry with medium acidity, alcohol and ripe tannin. Almost full bodied with slightly over medium intensity flavours of blackcurrant, bell pepper, warm brick, licorice and vanilla herb. Longer than medium length with black berry finish. (92)

以奧比安來說這是中規中矩而已。酒香及酒味也有著地區風格,酒是濃厚的,複雜性也不錯,只是酒味在口中差了點,而且鬆散了點。整體也是好飲的。

2006 Les Plantiers du Haut Brion

This is a medium lemon coloured white wine with quite pronounced aromas of musky, vanilla, tropical, grassy and touch of mineral. Dry with slightly higher than medium acidity, medium alcohol and fuller than medium bodied. Medium plus flavour intensity. Lemon, grass, vanilla, butter with hint of pineapple. Round mouthfeel. Medium length with citrus and vanilla finish. (90) Very enjoyable on nose and palate but the length cannot keep it up to top standard.

不論酒香及口感都好的酒。層次豐富,味度亦有一定複雜,可惜餘韻略短。

1967 Ch. Haut Brion

After 44 years, this dry red wine still offers a ruby colour at medium plus level at the core and fading to a garnet rim. It has quite pronounced aromas of leather, coffee, clove, together with subtle savoury, black cherry, red plum, earth, floral, pine and wet leave. You can imagine how complex this wine was at its peak. On palate it is dry with medium acidity. The tannin level is fading but you can still feel its softness and sweetness. A little bit less than medium body, lighter than normal alcohol. Flavour intensity is medium with red berries, clove, pine, earth and smoke. Quite a long length with leathery finish. (90)

2000 Ch. Bahans Haut-Brion

Another deep ruby wine with paler rim and legs. On nose it has medium intensity aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry, earthy, cigar box, herbaceous, smoke, vanilla, and trace of dusty. It is dry with medium acidity and alcohol. Quite fuller in body with quite high tannin which is ripe and soft. On palate it gives flavours of blackcurrant, black cherry, vegetal, smoke, spice, with trace of earthy. Medium length with cherry finish (91)

1999 Ch. Haut Brion

A dry wine with deep ruby core fading to deep garnet rim with legs. Medium intensity aromas of blackcurrant, prune, mint, cedar, cigar box, cigarette leaves, herbaceous and spice. It has more than medium body and medium acidity. The tannin is still strong but soft and ripe, a little bit sweet. The flavour intensity in palate is stronger than on nose. It has black cherry, earth, clove spice and cigarette leave with a rather long length with cherry and earthy finish. (93)

1993 Ch. Haut Brion

A survivor of the poor 1993 vintage. This one is medium to deep ruby in colour with a paler rim. On nose, it can still give fresh sweet berry fruit such as black cherry and other aromas of tobacco, mineral and smoke. It has medium body now with low to medium acidity. The tannin is supple and soft. On palate, the primary flavours are earthy and mineral where fruity flavours follows. The finish is shorter than expected. Does this mean the wine is going down the peak? (92)
