1979 Caol Ila 35 years Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky

A medium lemon coloured dry whisky with pronounced noses of honey, smoke, seaweed, iodine, and touch of peach and caramel. Water brings out floral note. Medium acidity and warming alcohol, full bodied too. On palate it gives quite intense flavours of lemon, honey, mineral, seaweed and touch of smoke. Fairly long length with smoky finish. (94) Wonderful aftertaste.

 酒香強,加水後的變化亦好。酒香的複雜性算強,入口後酒味有一點變化,是我喜愛的表現,餘韻長,而且味道轉重,煙燻味更多,幾吸引。好味。

2012 Egon Muller Scharzhofberger Riesling Auslese

Medium lemon green colour with medium intensity noses of chrysanthemums, honey, white flower, mineral and ripe pear. This wine is medium sweet and quite acidic, not high in alcohol but full bodied. A touch of spiky mouthfeel. On palate, it give quite intense flavours of honey, lemon, chrysanthemums, peach and floral note. Fairly long length with honey lemon finish. (93) Way too early to drink or is it just simple as that?

這酒試不真,香氣不算強,但有一定複雜性,酒的酸甜平衡很好,而且有一點點刺口感提升爽口感,很不錯。酒味一致,但強度比香氣更好,餘韻亦長。酒味仍在十分初步的層次,須要時間發展。希望結出好果實吧。

2011 La Romanee, Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair

Deep ruby coloured with quite intense aromas of black plum, rose, cherry, earth, tangerine perfume with trace of anise, very complex indeed. It is dry with medium acidity, medium alcohol and bodied too. The tannin is soft at medium level. On palate it gives fairly high intensity flavours of cherry, rose perfume, plum, strawberry jam, licorice and vanilla. Close to long length with red berry finish. (96)

事先聲明,這酒我有一部份分是因為酒的結構而比的。酒的強度及複雜性也是很高,酒香誘人,而且貫徹著這酒那種輕巧花香加濃重醬果的香氣,應該吸引到不 同人士的口味。這酒莊的2011年不知做了什麼可以令酒的單寧如此柔順,即使村酒也是,酒味也強,餘韻長,難得的佳釀。講返酒的結構,這酒的結構在於不會給人柔軟感,是會令人感到有一點東西在口中架起的感覺。這種感覺跟我在飲 ROMANEE CONTI 時也感到一樣,可能這就是葡萄園的威力吧,畢竟飲得太少了,哈哈......

2011 Romanee St. Vivant, Domaine de la Romanee Conti

This dry red wine possesses deep ruby colour. On nose it has pronounced level aromas of black plum, cherry, smoke, strawberry jam, rose perfume and touch of sandalwood and forest floor. Medium acidity, alcohol and bodied. The tannin is at medium level but touch of greenness. On palate it gives fairly intense flavours of red cherry, plum, rose pedal, licorice, smoke and toasted wood. Fairly long length with red cherry finish. (93)

跟同年的 LA TACHE 一起飲,這酒的單寧青了點,這才是我印象中的2011年。酒的力度很強,而且複雜,餘韻亦長,好酒。酒味沒有酒香那樣的醬果感,但味道層次分明,也是一個好處。酒貫徹著這酒莊的高質素,好味道。
