1978 Ch. Gruaud Larose

This wine has a deep ruby colour and still has higher than medium nose of blackcurrant, bell pepper, herbaceous with touch of smoke, leather and licorice, which shows a good and mature development. It is dry with medium alcohol, acidity and body. Medium tannin with touch of greeness. On palate it gives medium intensity bell pepper, herbaceous, red cherry and smoke. Fairly long length with red berry finish. (89)

發展成熟，香氣以78年酒來說真的頗吸引，可是在口中酒味轉為簡單，有走下坡之勢，餘韻仍長，可感到此酒的在發展及倉儲都保存得好。仲有的話應開嚟飲。

1979 Ch. Haut Bailly

A 30+ year wine with deep purple colour and over medium nose of black plum, blueberries, smoke, toast, licorice and touch of earth and bell pepper. It is dry with medium acidity, alcohol and fine-grained tannin. Medium bodied with higher than medium flavour intensity. Violet, black cherry, vegetal with touch of earthy. Barely over medium length with spicy finish. (92) Well developed with complex nose and good palate.

成熟，充滿發展後的複雜性，香氣吸引，餘韻亦算長。估唔到三十幾年酒仍有一定的生猛活潑感，好味。

1996 Ch. L'Eglise-Clinet

A deep purple wine with over medium intensity aromas of black plum, blueberry, mint leaf, smoke, violet and licorice. It is dry with medium acidity and alcohol. Fuller than medium bodied with soft and ripe medium tannin. Barely over medium flavour intensity. Black plum, blackberry with touch of leafy, earth smoke and mineral. Slightly longer than medium length with black berry finish. (90)

香氣足，亦複雜，口感略為單薄了一點，單寧順滑，餘韻不錯，幾好飲。

1983 Ch. Branaire Ducru

Deep purple wine with quite pronounced aromas of blueberry, tea, dried herb, smoke, mushroom with touch of pencil shaving. Dry with medium fine grained tannin. Medium acidity, alcohol and bodied. On palate, we have medium blackcurrant, plum, cherry and dried herb. Medium length with black cherry finish (90). Good development on nose but medicore palate. Reasonable length only.

仍然未有一枝周伯通可以令我有非常好的印象，香氣不錯，口感及餘韻尚算合格。

1991 Ch. Pichon Lalande

This is a wine of deep purple in colour. On nose it has quite pronounced aromas of blackcurrant, black plum, smoke, toast, cedar and touch of leather. Dry with medium acidity, alcohol. Medium fine-grained tannin with touch of greeness. Medium bodied with quite pronounced flavours of violet, black berry, plum and licorice. Medium length with black cherry finish. (91) Mature and well integrated. Good on nose but it cannot carry to palate.

成熟複雜的香氣，很誘人。單寧有點點青而口感亦較酒香來得簡單，餘韻一般，真的是年份問題?

2000 Ch. Latour Haut-Brion

This is a deep purple dry red wine with quite intense aromas of black currant like Ribena, black cherry, black plum, with touch of prune, smoke, earth and warm brick. Medium acidity, alcohol and ripe and fine-grained tannin. Just over medium body with medium flavour intensity. Blueberry, black cherry, smoke and trace of vegetal notes. Just longer than medium length with blueberry finish. (90)

一聞枝酒已經被酒香吸引，可惜在口中表現稍遜，香氣複雜但口感不足，餘韻尚算長，不錯。

1996 Ch. Pichon Baron

A deep purple wine with quite high intensity aromas of blackcurrant, violet, pine, touch of camphor, vegetal, smoke and black cherry. Dry with medium acidity, alcohol and fuller than medium body. Just over medium intensity flavours of black plum, licorice, vegetal, blackcurrant, smoke and matches box. Fairly long length with smoke, pine and cherry finish. (93)

96年酒已發展得好好。足夠複雜性，餘韻頗長。層次亦有一定高，口感豐厚之餘亦不會覺得重，不錯。

1986 Ch. Capbern Gasqueton

This is a deep purpler dry wine with quite intense aromas of black plum, violet, perfume, cedar, wormwood, black cherry. Medium acidity, alcohol and bodied. A bit coarse medium tannin with medium flavour intensity. Black cherry, plum, vegetal and smoke. Barely over medium length with black plum finish. (89) Not bad, with good complexity on nose and reasonable intensity. Coarse tannin tho. An interesting old wine.

老酒所發展出的香氣誘人，單寧有點鞋口，口感一般，餘韻不錯，整體來說都好有趣，但未必人人會喜愛。

2002 Ch. Leoville Barton

Deep purple wine with medium nose of black plum, earth, violet and touches of smoke and pepper. Dry with slightly over medium acidity, medium alcohol and a touch over medium body. The tannin is fine grained and soft at medium level. The flavour intensity is barely over the medium level. Violet, black cherry, blueberry, earth and vegetal. Medium length with plumy finish. (89) Quite easy-going, a bit lax in structure and a bit lack of complexity.

2002 Ch. Calon Segur

This wine has deep purple colour. On nose it gives higher than medium intensity aromas of damp earth, violet, black plum, minty, smoke and blueberry. It is dry with medium aicdity and alcohol. Fuller than medium bodied with quite high and fine grained ripe tannin. On palate it has medium intensity flavours of black plum, cherry, earth, smoke, licorice and sweet spice. Fairly long length with blackberry finish. (91) Not bad and over my expectation. Reasonable complexity and length.

整體平穩，表現中上，有足夠的複雜性及濃度，雖然個人不是十分喜歡ST ESTEPHE的酒，但這枝做得真的不錯。
