This dry old red wine still possesses fairly deep ruby colour. On nose it has close to pronounced level aromas of black plum, leather, mint leaf, black pepper, earth and roasted herb. Medium acidity and alcohol with medium ripe and fine grained tannin. Quite full bodied. On palate it gives higher than medium intensity flavours of black cherry, mint jam, licorice, roasted herb, black pepper and mineral. Fairly long length with mint leaf mixing black berry finish. (96)

這應是我喝過最好的HERMITAGE。複雜而強烈的香氣,亦充滿著 品種特色。幾十年的酒在各方面也融合了。酒味亦保持其表現,酒味更有層次地展現,餘韻出色,回味亦充滿複雜性,令人再三回味,難忘的好酒。

86年酒我說它仍年青是有點難以置信的,但這酒卻說給你知它仍須時間發展。酒香接近完美,香氣的力度及複雜性都十分出色。口感工整柔順。酒味在口中複雜性不降了點,餘韻亦比想像中短了點,但已是一枝出色的酒。不妨多藏幾年,應有更好的品飲回報。
