2005 Ch. Margaux

A deep purple coloured dry red Bordeaux with pronounced noses of blackcurrant, violet, black plum, cherry jam, vanilla, licorice and cedar. Medium acidity, medium alcohol and full bodied with soft and ripe medium tannin. On palate it gives intense flavours of blackcurrant, black cherry, licorice, cedar and touch of sawdust, floral and earth. Close to long length with black cherry finish. (96) Ripe, good fruit and round, powerful blackcurrant attack too. Delicious

這支酒可以用和諧融洽來形容，而且酒力強勁、餘韻亦長、口感柔順，有一種渾然天成的感覺。酒進入適飲期，而且相信這段適飲期頗長。酒仍有一定發展潛力，現在飲果感十足，複雜性仍可以發展，是一次佳釀，令人不斷咁飲，好快飲鬼晒成支酒

 

2004 Ch. Margaux

This dry red wine has deep purple colour. On nose it has pronounced intensity aromas of blackcurrant, black plum, bell pepper, mint, earth, violet and trace of licorice and wormwood, very complex. Medium acidity, alcohol and full bodied. The tannin is fine grained but a touch of greenness at medium level. On palate it gives over medium intensity flavours of blackcurrant, black cherry, warm stone, violet, graphite and licorice. Fairly long length with black plum type finish. (94) Good complexity and integration.

濃厚深沉而複雜的香氣，酒味豐富，餘韻亦長，好酒的表現。可能是年份問題而單寧有點點青，但不太礙事。酒味在口中複雜得來而又相互溶合，好味。酒友說這莊的酒狀態很易變，一定要酒莊直送才可表現最好(其實應該全部都係)。但這莊我也喝過不少，亦真的是感覺到這酒的狀態很好。

This dry red wine has deep purple colour. On nose it has barely over medium intensity aromas of blackcurrant, black plum, violet, licorice, smoke and touch of pine. Medium acidity and alcohol, full bodied with quite high fine and ripe tannin. Quite high intensity flavours of blue berry, black plum, licorice, pine wood, smoke and earth. 瑪高的可口感真的很好，很複雜的香氣及酒味，給你一套工整的波爾多佳釀感。酒的味道表現比香氣好，餘韻亦長，好好味。只是酒香的強度差了點。

強烈而複雜的酒香，有點深沉，好像有很多不同香味慢慢透出似的。酒體仍很濃厚，即使已有十幾年。酒在口中的力度也強 ，複雜性仍維持著一定水平，餘韻長，說明這是一枝佳釀。酒的單寧強，但算熟，亦不鞋口。酒放多點時間會更好，再發展下會更好。現在飲已經很好味，但有耐性的不妨過兩年才試。

2005 Pavillon Blanc de Ch. Margaux

Medium lemon green coloured with quite high intensity aromas of gooseberry, grass, honey, butter, vanilla, elderflower and touch of cream soda. It is dry with medium acidity, medium alcohol and quite full bodied. On palate it has quite high intensity flavours of guava, gooseberry, grass and touch of honey and vanilla. Longer than medium length with lemon and grass finish. (90)

 一枝口感不錯的酒，用厚實感來形容 SAUVIGNON BLANC
是幾奇怪的，但這酒真的有這感覺。酒香不錯，花果味足，但酸度比想像中低了點，餘韻算好，酒味在口中複雜性低了些，整體好喝，見到佢唔知點解諗起食蒸魚........

1990 Ch. Margaux

This Margaux has deep purple colour and pronounced noses of blackcurrant, black cherry, bell pepper, smoke, violet perfume, and touch of charcoal. Complex, deep and wonderful nose. It is dry with medium acidity, medium alcohol and quite full bodied. Medium ripe and fine grained tannin too. On palate, it gives quite high flavours of blackcurrant, black berry, bell pepper, smoke, violet and touch of graphite. Fairly long length with black cherry finish. (96) Wonderfully concentrated and complex, still can age for a few years.

甚麼是深藏不露嗎? 這酒的香氣強烈，而且會引人入勝，酒像是說它有著很多不同的味道似的。酒香很濃，複雜性有層次，酒味亦然 ，餘韻長，好好飲，仍可陳年。瑪高區的酒很豔麗，這酒是一個很標準的高質素酒品，非常好飲。

2009 Pavillon Blanc du Ch. Margaux

Medium lemon green coloured with fairly high intensity aromas of lemon grass, stewed apple, guava, and touch of vanilla and nuts, it is dry with medium acidity and alcohol. Fuller than medium bodied with slightly higher than medium intensity flavours of honey, guava, hay, stewed pear. Long than medium length with nutty finish. (90)

整體不錯。有一定的強度及複雜性。餘韻亦長，是一枝中上水準的波爾多白酒。千祈唔好用價錢去衡量，因為以咁的水準而有平過佢的也不難搵。

Barely deep ruby colour with quite intense noses of black plum, black cherry, earth, licorice, blueberry, toast, pine and violet. It is dry with medium acidity and alcohol. Quite full bodied with medium fine grained ripe tannin. The flavour intensity is quite high with flavours of black cherry, earth, licorice, smoke and touch of bell pepper.  89年的瑪高香氣仍強勁誘人，口感發展不錯，酒亦在適飲期，餘韻很長，酒味亦開始展現了成熟風格，好啱飲也好飲的一枝酒。

1983 Ch. Margaux

This over 30 years old dry red wine still has deep purple colour. On nose it has close to pronounced aromas of blackcurrant, vegetal, black cherry, bell pepper, black pepper, licorice and touch of menthol. It is dry with medium acidity, alcohol and fine-grained tannin. Quite full bodied too. The flavour intensity is slightly higher than medium with flavour of black cherry, bell pepper, licorice, earth and touch of sandalwood. Fairly long length with spicy finish. (94) Good finish.

靚酒一枝。靚的意思是飲得其時。酒的發展全面，酒香強而複雜，這複雜性在口中仍有一點點變化。餘韻算長，收結也吸引，要彈的是酒味在口中跌了點，但酒味的複雜性足以令人再三回味，正。

2006 Pavillon Blanc du Chateau Margaux

Medium lemon green colour with higher than medium noses of grass, sesame, toast, vanilla, almond and touch of lime and glycerin. It is dry with medium acidity, alcohol and bodied. On palate, it has slightly over medium flavours of grass, floral, toast, vanilla and bitter lemon. Fairly long length with citrus and honey finish. (89)

"這就是白亭"?這個問題一直在與會者間提出。複雜嗎?酒力強嗎?餘韻長嗎?酒有活力嗎?這些問題的答案都頗正面的，但是酒在口中的感覺好像散得很快。那是否又代表酒力在口中很弱?可能吧!那不是很矛盾嗎?也不是。這酒的酒力是屬於強襲性的，即是酒一入口時味度真的頗強，但剛一陣子就消失得無影無踪。是否年份問題呢?

1988 Pavillon Rouge du Ch. Margaux

Almost deep purple colour with pronounced nose of blackcurrant, herbaceous, earth, licorice and touch of mint and toast. It is dry with medium acidity, alcohol and bodied. Tannin is at medium level and fine-grained in nature. On palate it has medium intensity flavours of vegetal, blackcurrant, black cherry and touch of licorice. Longer than medium length with black cherry finish. (89) Lack of complexity on palate but good for casual drinking.

公公整整，香氣複雜性不錯，餘韻及酒力都很好，酒味的複雜性差了點，亦較清楚易明，沒有瑪歌區的一點曖昧，不錯的酒品。

This is a deep purple wine. On nose it gives barely over medium intensity aromas of blackcurrant, earth, violet, spice and touch of vegetal. It is dry with medium acidity, alcohol with fuller than medium bodied. Tannin is at medium level and fine-grained in nature. Medium flavour intensity. Blackcurrant, herbaceous, black cherry, licorice with longer than medium length and blackberry finish. (90)

如果唔係個餘韻有番咁上下長，我唔會覺得有90分。此酒表現出瑪歌風格，頗典型的。但複雜性及酒力也是中中等等的。合格的二軍酒，但如果我有錢我真的不會買來飲。

Medium lemon green colour and quite oily mouthfeel, this wine has medium nose of cream, butter, grass, white flower and touch of PVC and soap. It is dry with fairly high acidity, fuller than over medium bodied and medium alcohol. The flavours have cream, lemon, grass cutting, vanilla and almond, all at medium level with fairly long length with honey finish. (91)

不錯，但不會令我覺得05年的波爾多白酒是好好，香氣複雜，酒味亦不錯，但力度有點不夠濃厚，但又不致令人覺得優雅，口感頗厚重，不是輕巧類型。可口的，特別是對喜愛酒體重的人來說。

2001 Ch. Margaux

This wine has a deep purple colour. On nose it gives quite pronounced aromas of violet, black plum, smoke, vegetal, cassis, sweet vanilla and touch of acetic.  It is dry with medium acidity and alcohol, quite full bodied with higher than medium soft and ripe tannin. The flavour intensity is quite high with flavours of blackcurrant, violet, herbaceous, and touch of bell pepper and sweet spice. Fairly long length with black plum finish. (91) Still fruity and shows some development. Quite complex with reasonable intensity as a First Growth.

一支仍在發展的酒，果味濃郁，口感仍未有充分發展，故現在有點簡單，發展成熟應該不錯。複雜性與餘韻以一級莊來說也算合格。

2000 Pavillon Rogue du Chateau Margaux

This is a deep ruby wine with paler rim and legs. It has rather intense aromas of earth, smoke, blackcurrant, black cherry, licorice, clove and vanilla. Dry with medium acidity and alcohol. Medium body with medium soft and silky tannin with quite intense flavours of black cherry, ripe black plum, smoke, vanilla, licorice with trace of cedar wood and spice. A fairly long length with cherry and earthy finish (92)

2005 Pavillon Blanc du Chateau Margaux

This is a dry white wine with medium lemon colour core fading to a watery rim, significant tears. Aromas of citrus, oaky, vanilla, butterscotch, floral with trace of mineral, grass and musky fill up the nose at medium intensity level. It is dry with more than medium acidity, a slightly higher in alcohol and medium body. Quite intense flavour in palate which contains  nutty, vanilla, lemon, grassy with hint of buttery. Medium length with vanilla and citrus finish. (90)

2001 Ch. Margaux

A deep ruby colour core wine fading to paler rim with legs. On nose it has medium intensity aromas of blackcurrant, plum, licorice, violet, cedar, smoke, cherry and mineral. Medium body, acidity and soft ripe tannin. Quite high intensity flavours of plum, cedar, pepper, cherry, mineral, violet with a surprising savoury flavour. Long length with cherry and mineral finish. 2003 Pavillon Rouge du Margaux

This dry wine is deep ruby in colour with a pronounced aroma of ripe plum, blackcurrant and notes of spice, leather and earth. It has low to medium acidity and its body is not so full as expected. The tannin is soft and ripe but the length just holds for a few second. On palate, the black fruit flavours are kept going together with licorice, smoke and earth. This one is a very good second wine but the structure is not strong as I expect. Do I expect too much?? (90) (Tasted on 12 March 2009, reposted)
