2005 Chambolle Musigny Vieilles Vignes, Vincent Girardin

A deep ruby wine with fairly high intensity aromas of red plum, rose perfume, red cherry jam and touch of wormwood, incense and forest floor. It is dry with medium acidity, medium alcohol and bodied with fine grained medium tannin. Slightly higher than medium flavours of red cherry, cabbage, wet leaves and rose pedal. The length is at longer than medium level with plummy finish. (92)

這酒頗濃，香氣很好，強而複雜，十分誘人。酒在口中仍算保持著水準，亦有著品種特性，只是以這村來說就像欠了點點田土風味。餘韻亦長，好飲的。

2001 Bienvenues Batard Montrachet, Vincent Girardin

Medium lemon in colour with quite pronounced aromas of lemon, eucalyptus, hay, vanilla, white flower with touch of grass. Air it for a while evolves cream and butter aromas, quite impressive. It is dry with slightly higher than medium acidity. Medium alcohol and medium plus bodied. The flavour intensity is at over medium level. Citrus, floral, mineral, cream, vanilla and grapefruit which attacks my palate layer by layer from fruit to mineral. Long length with bitter lemon finish. (93)

This one is very complex but subtle. The evolvement of the flavours is really impressive as it goes layer by layer, which shows you a wine of great depth and good structure.

2005 Batard Montrachet, Domaine Vincent Girardin

A medium lemon coloured dry white wine with some legs. It has pronounced aromas of melon, pear, citrus with trace of white flower, vanilla, oak, honey, and toast. It is still developing. On palate it has medium alcohol with medium plus acidity. Quite full bodied with medium plus intensity flavours of citrus, honey, pineapple, melon, oak and vanilla with trace of butter. Long length with citrus and musky finish. (95) A complex wine with layers of flavours.

2007 Meursault 1er Cru les Perrieres, Domaine Vincent Girardin

Medium lemon coloured white wine with quite high intensity aromas of cream, butter, citrus, hazelnut, honey and floral. Medium acidity and alcohol, and slightly fuller in bodied. Fairly pronounced flavours of citrus, floral, hazelnut, honey, vanilla, butter and cream. Long length with buttery finish. (91)

2001 Meursaul 1er Cru les Perrieres, Vincent Girardin

A white wine with lemon colour and nose of citrus, cream, vanilla, butter. It has medium plus body and acidity. On palate, it gives tons of lactic flavour with some citrus fruit and buttery backup. Medium lenght. (88) (Tasted on 5 April 2010)
