2000 Ch. Sociando Mallet

This dry wine still has deep intensity purple colour. On nose it has quite intense aromas of bell pepper, vegetal, forest floor, maple leaves, blackcurrant smoke and touch of cedar and earth. Well developed. It has barely medium acidity, medium alcohol and quite full bodied. Medium ripe and fine grained tannin too. On palate it gives over medium intensity flavours of black cherry, bell pepper, earth, dry leaves, cedar and damp wood. Fairly long length with black cherry finish. (91) Decent and good length.

20多年的酒發展成熟一點也不出奇，所以酒的複雜性是一定有的，各種標誌性的成熟味道也能感受出來，更難得的是他仍然保存着那種酒的強度，餘韻亦長，顯示出這酒的生命力是多麼強。很工整，亦很好味。

1990 Ch. Sociando Mallet

This red wine still has quite intense purple colour, a bit hazy though. On nose it has quite intense aromas of black plum, road tar, violet, cedar, leather and mint. It is dry with medium acidity, medium alcohol and quite full bodied. The tannin is at barely medium level but smooth and soft. On palate it gives medium intensity flavours of black cherry, plum and black tea. Medium length with black cherry finish. (90) wonderful nose.

這支酒四個字講完：老而彌堅。再要多講的，就是酒香很出眾，以三十多年的酒來說是很出色的。其他方面反而展現出這酒的老態。以老酒來說已經是一支很不錯的產品了。

2004 Ch. Sociando Mallet

A dry red wine with deep purple colour and significant legs. It has on nose quite pronounced aromas of blackcurrant, black plum, blueberries, smoke, licorice, vanilla and trace of earthy, violet and mint. Medium acidity and alcohol. Fuller than medium body with medium ripe and sweet tannin. Medium intensity flavours of black cherry, vanilla with herbaceous and floral notes. Medium length with black cherry finish. (90) Quite complex on nose but still enjoyable.

2004 Ch. Sociando Mallet

This wine is deep rube/purple in colour with paler rim. A pleasing sweet black fruit aroma attacks my nose on the first sniff and traces of smoke, sweet spice, pine and mint follow. On palate, it has low to medium acidity, its body is medium with more than medium tannin. The flavour in palate changes from fruit basis to earthy, clove, spice with a long finish. A very good one for daily drinking. (91)
