A 30+ year wine with deep purple colour and over medium nose of
black plum, blueberries, smoke, toast, licorice and touch of earth and
bell pepper. It is dry with medium acidity, alcohol and fine-grained
tannin. Medium bodied with higher than medium flavour intensity. Violet,
black cherry, vegetal with touch of earthy. Barely over medium length
with spicy finish. (92) Well developed with complex nose and good
palate.

成熟,充滿發展後的複雜性,香氣吸引,餘韻亦算長。估唔到三十幾年酒仍有一定的生猛活潑感,好味。

This wine gives you an attack on the quality but the expectation fades
away after tasting. The deep ruby/purple dry wine give a pungent
black fruit nose with trace of licorice, spice, cedar and red plum. On
palate it has a mouthful of sour cherry and red fruit flavour. It has
medium acidity and body. The tannin is medium and a bit bitter. The
finish is weak as well. On nose it is really impressive and makes me
feel that it is a wonderful wine but after tasting, it is a bit
disappointed. (88) (Tasted on 16 November 2008, reposted)
